China said on Monday that it will keep doing military drills around Taiwan. This comes a day after its biggest drills ever, which were done in response to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's controversial trip to Taipei last week.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and a group of Democratic congresspeople arrived in Taiwan on Tuesday. This was the second day of a trip that was criticized and threatened by China and could make things even worse between Washington and Beijing.

Hu Xijin, who works for the Chinese government to spread propaganda, said on Saturday that he deleted a tweet that threatened military action if US military jets followed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan.
