Are they about to launch Bitcoin into space? An explanation of the rumors

According to reports, Apple is considering integrating Bitcoin into its Apple Pay service. On the other hand, previous Apple rumors have all come to nothing.

Rumors that Apple is going to use Bitcoin in some way are going crazy. YouTuber Crypto Rover spread the word by reiterating what other people say. He said that the effects will make Bitcoin soar.

Many people have said that Apple and crypto have worked together in the past. Some people have talked about adding Bitcoin to the treasury reserve just a few years ago.

All of these rumors have died down, even though they got a lot of attention. This time will be different.

The CEO of Strike gives a hint that Apple might be linked to Bitcoin.

He says that this time, things might be different. Strike CEO Jack Mallers says that. Late last month, Mallers tweeted a video from the Apple "think different" campaign that ran from 1997 to 2002. Mallers didn't give the video a title.

In the commercial, there was black and white footage of famous people from history, like Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi, Thomas Edison, and Muhammad Ali. There is also a voice-over that talks about people who aren't like everyone else, like rebels and troublemakers, being the very people who make things better.

A few days before this, Mallers also tweeted about the Bitcoin 2022 conference in Miami, which will be held from April 6 to 9, 2018.

Four pictures came with the tweet. In the beginning, there's an infographic about a QR code payment system. Then Strike's mission statement, a picture of Mallers flipping the bird at a Chase ATM while wearing an Apple hat in Google colors, and a promotional video for Mallers' talk at the conference.

The most important thing that happened at last year's Bitcoin conference was that El Salvador would start using Bitcoin as a form of payment. A lot of people think that this year's event will be even more important than last year's.

A list of the rumors.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is working on its own payment processing technology that would cut down on the number of third-party partners Apple has to work with.

long-term, Apple wants to bring a lot of payment functions in-house, like payment processing, risk assessment for loans and fraud analysis. It also wants to hire more customer service workers.

No, Mallers didn't say there was room for Bitcoin in his tweets.

CEO Tim Cook said last year that Apple wasn't going to use Bitcoin as a money source. He said he didn't think Apple stock was a good way to get into crypto. "We don't plan to use crypto for our products," said Cook. But the company is also considering "other ways to use crypto," he said.
