Mets manager Luis Rojas on Monday was suspended two games after going ballistic on an umpire during Sunday's win against the Pirates.

Mets manager Luis Rojas on Monday was suspended two games and fined an undisclosed amount for his outburst during Sunday’s 7-6 comeback win over the Pirates, the league announced.

Rojas was ejected in the first inning after arguing with home plate umpire Jeremy Riggs, who ruled a Kevin Newman dribbler fair despite Rojas and Mets pitcher Taijuan Walker believing it was foul.

Mets manager Luis Rojas was suspended two games for his outburst during the Mets’ win over the Pirates on July 18, 2021.

The play led to mass confusion and the Pirates scoring three runs to take a 6-0 lead.

MLB in a statement described Rojas’ blowup as “excessive arguing.”

Rojas will miss Monday and Tuesday’s game against the Reds in Cincinnati, with bench coach Dave Jauss taking over managerial duties.
