Kluber was stoned-faced while discussing his stellar performance after the game.
Corey Kluber pitched his first career no-hitter in the Yankees’ 2-0 win over the Rangers on Wednesday, and the internet is having a field day with his reaction.
After he joined this season’s booming no-hitter club and briefly celebrated with teammates, Kluber was stoned-faced while discussing his stellar performance after the game. When asked what he’ll remember most about pitching a no-hitter in Texas, Kluber appeared emotionless.
“Um, I just think it was a lot of fun,” he said, before complimenting both teams for playing well. “It was just fun to be a part of.”
The right-hander’s overly calm reaction was a treat to some fans, who couldn’t help but spoof Kluber’s demeanor on Twitter.

Kluber, who struck out nine in the victory, threw this MLB season’s sixth no-hitter. It marked the Yankees’ first no-hitter since 1999, when David Cone threw a perfect game against the Montreal Expos.
