Hours after fans expressed concern over troubling posts on Azealia Banksâ Instagram story, the rapper said Sunday that she is âbetter than I was before.â
âIâm fine, better than I was before,â the 29-year-old rapper captioned a selfie.
In multiple follow-up videos, Banks chastised followers over the authenticity of their worries, titling one clip, âWhat is this obsession u bitches have with my despair?â
âShow me love when Iâm up bitch, not just when Iâm down,â she captioned another video.
She also called out media outlets in a separate post.
Over the weekend, a series of disturbing messages were shared on Banksâ Instagram story, with one reading: âThis pandemic, extreme lack of social interaction, no intimacy, combined with the constant public ridicule is making life harder than its worth.
âI think I will end my tenure here on earth soon,â the message concluded.
In response to the posts, fans of Banks tweeted their concern over her wellbeing.
âThis worries me so much. I hope someone close to Azealia reaches out to make sure sheâs doing okay. Sheâs such a powerful human being and a lovely artist and I just want to see her thrive and be happyâ¤ď¸ I wish I could hug her right now,â one tweeted.
âAzealia banks, you are worth it. you are enough. and you are talented. dont allow this pandemic or lack of social interaction put you in a depressed state. you are loved and cherished. dont do anything irrational. i love you,â another penned.
