Michael Keaton is in talks to return to the role of Batman in the upcoming Warner Bros. movie “The Flash,” starring Ezra Miller, The Wrap reported Monday.
The 68-year-old actor first played the Caped Crusader in 1989’s “Batman” and 1992’s “Batman Returns,” both directed by Tim Burton. His most recent venture into comic-book territory was as Vulture in “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” part of Disney’s rival Marvel Cinematic Universe.
During Keaton’s 28-year hiatus from playing Bruce Wayne and his crimefighting alter-ego, the part has been taken on by George Clooney, Val Kilmer, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck and soon Robert Pattinson in “The Batman.”
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-winner could appear as Batman in several more DC films. “The Flash” is out in theaters June 3, 2022.
