Dolly Parton said on Tuesday that her upcoming book will be called “Songteller: My Life in Lyrics,” and that the tome will explore her life and career via 175 of her most beloved songs.
We exclusively reported last year that Parton inked a deal for the publication with Chronicle Books, but its format was unclear.

Parton said in a statement that the book, out in November, “is my first‐ever book of lyrics … I’ve revisited my memories and opened up my archives to share the stories and treasures behind them in a way I never have before.” She’s previously penned an autobiography, children’s books and a self-help tome.
Parton’s made headlines lately since thousands of people in Tennessee have signed a Change.org petition to replace Confederate memorials with statues of the legend.
