The “Nashville” star debuted her “newish” neck tattoo on her brand-new public Instagram account over the weekend.

“Newish ink #TheEyeOfRa 🌞,” Panettiere, 30, captioned the black-and-white photo.

Associated with the Egyptian sun god, the Eye of Ra is an ancient symbol of protection and royal authority.

Panettiere received her symbolic ink after a troubled year with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Brian Hickerson. He was arrested for domestic violence again in February 2020 after he allegedly assaulted the actress.
