“Riverdale” star Lili Reinhart came out as bisexual in an Instagram Story post she made sharing information about a scheduled LGBTQ+ for Black Lives Matter march. “Although I’ve never announced it publicly before,” Reinhart wrote in the caption, “I am a proud bisexual woman.”

Now that we’re in Pride Month, we’re take a look at the celebrities who have come out in 2020.

Although Cara Delevingne previously defined herself as sexually fluid, in a recent interview she clarified her orientation by saying she “always will remain … pansexual.”

“What Not to Wear” star Stacy London came out New Year’s Eve via an Instagram post introducing her girlfriend Cat Yezbak.

DJ Qualls, who has appeared in films including “Road Trip” and “The New Guy,”

came out during a comedy show in January and later confirmed it in a tweet.
“It is 11:20pm. I just came out on stage at a @jimjefferies show in San Diego,” he wrote. “Yep, I’m gay. Been gay this whole time. Tired of worrying about what people would think of me. Tired of worrying about what it would do to my career.”

Nikkie de Jager, better known as Nikkie Tutorials on her Youtube beauty channel, came out as trans in January after a blackmailer threatened to reveal the fact.

After facing backlash for announcing that she would be MC-ing HBO’s drag ballroom competition series, “Legendary,” Jameela Jamil came out as queer on Twitter.

“Twitter is brutal,” Jamil wrote. “This is why I never officially came out as queer. I added a rainbow to my name a few years ago when I felt ready to a few years ago, as it’s not easy within the south Asian community to be accepted, and I always answered honestly if ever straight-up asked about it on Twitter. But I kept it low because I was scared of the pain of being accused of performative bandwagon-jumping over something that caused me a lot of confusion, fear, and turmoil when I was a kid. I didn’t come from a family with *anyone* openly out. It’s also scary as an actor to openly admit your sexuality, especially when you’re already a brown female in your thirties.”

British TV host Phillip Schofield came out as gay via an Instagram post in February. “You never know what’s going on in someone’s seemingly perfect life, what issues they are struggling with, or the state of their wellbeing — and so you won’t know what has been consuming me for the last few years,” he wrote. “With the strength and support of my wife and my daughters, I have been coming to terms with the fact that I am gay.” Schofield had been married to a woman since 1993.

Olympic swimmer Markus Thormeyer came out as gay in an essay for “Out Sports.” “Coming out to the team taught me to be comfortable in my own skin regardless of being different or gay.”

Rick Cosnett, who starred in “The Flash,” came out as gay in an Instagram video he posted in February.
“Hi everyone. Dramatic pause. I’m gay,” Cosnett noted. “And I just wanted everyone to know because I’ve made a promise to myself to live my truth every day.”

Da Brat confirmed via Instagram that she was in a relationship with girlfriend Jesseca Dupart. The post came after Dupart gifted the rapper a Bentley for her birthday.

“Needless to say…I’ve always been a kind of private person until I met my heart’s match, who handles some things differently than I do. Thank you baby @darealbbjudy for far more than this incredible birthday gift. I have never experienced this feeling. It’s so overwhelming that often I find myself in a daze hoping to never get pinched to see if it’s real so I can live in this dream forever.”

British actress Dominique Provost-Chalkley came out as queer for her 30th birthday. She made the announcement in a blog post she wrote for the non-profit organization “Start the Wave.” “I am queer. I am into ALL humans,” she wrote. “I guess maybe I am just really into love? Who knows? But finally … I am OUT.”

Rebecca Black told the “Dating Straight” podcast in April that she felt comfortable identifying as queer. “I’ve obviously been having a lot of conversations with myself. I think to me the word ‘queer’ feels really nice,” she noted in the interview. “I’ve dated a lot of different types of people, and I don’t really know what the future holds. Some days I feel a little more on the gay side than others.”

J. August Richards, who plays an openly gay character on the NBC series, “Council of Dads,” came out as gay during an Instagram live video with co-star Sarah Wayne Callies.

Auliʻi Cravalho, the star of Disney’s “Moana,” came out as bisexual in a TikTok video. In the video, Cravalho sings along to rapper Eminem’s track “Those Kinda Nights,” which include the lyrics, “Seriously though, how are you doing? You straight? / No, I’m bi.”
