Celebrity moms are the gifts that keep on giving. Maggie and Ian have a lot to say about their favorite Hollywood matriarchs, especially the ones who are terrifyingly good at monetizing their children.
They’ll chat with one of the most infamous celebrity mothers, Dina Lohan about her new podcast “Listen To Me, OG Mama D”. And they’ll also call up the stars of “sMothered,” the TLC reality show all about mother/daughter duos who take their bonds to the extreme.
The OG Mama D

Before Kris Jenner came on the scene, there was Dina Lohan. The mother of Lindsay Lohan tells Page Six that she’s launching a new podcast, “Listen To Me, OG Mama D,” that will cover pop culture, domestic violence, mental health, and that it will “set the record straight about tabloid celebrity gossip.”
Dina will co-host with “Princesses of Long Island” star Chanel Omari. Maggie and Ian chatted with the duo to get the low-down on the podcast.
How did you two meet and start working together?
Chanel: Dina Lohan had hired me when I was growing up with Lindsay on Long Island. We were really close friends. And Dina had hired me to be her assistant, traveled all over the world with Lindsay and then became Dina’s assistant and really learned the business of entertainment. And so Dina took me under her wings and we’ve been close ever since. And we became family. And that’s why we decided, why not?
Do you feel like the podcast is going to give you an opportunity to talk about your personal lives directly?
Dina: No one’s perfect. We’ve all had our trials and tribulations. And I think coming from one who’s been through them and lived to tell about them, I really want to touch people who are actually going through domestic violence. I’ve been through it all and I’m surviving. And I’m thriving. My kids are like, ‘it’s about time, mommy, it’s your turn.’
Does that include Lindsay?
Dina: With Lindsay going through what she had gone through in the past, I’m protective. I’m certainly not going to come out and say, ‘My daughter did this, this and this.’ That’s not what I consider being a mom. [Back then] I was definitely protecting her. But I’m sure as heck gonna tell you when she was home, I would reprimand because that’s just what moms do. But I think it’s for my daughter to tell her own story. Not for me or anyone else, for that matter, to do that. And same with myself.
Dina, Have you and your boyfriend Jesse [Nadler] met in person yet?
Dina: We FaceTime all the time. We haven’t met physically yet because he’s taking care of his very ill mother. I talk to her all the time as well. But certainly, after COVID is over we’re definitely going to meet.
More like twins?

Dawn Hubsher and her daughter Cher are close – so much that the two feel they have a psychic connection. The pair is one of several mother/daughter duos featured on TLC’s “sMothered,” which is co-produced by the New York Post and goes behind the scenes of maternal relationships that go to the extreme. They told Maggie and Ian that there are times when Cher’s husband refers to himself as the “third wheel.”
