Michael Angelo Covino and Kyle Marvin — who co-wrote and star in the new independent film “The Climb,” about a toxic male friendship set during a European bike ride — are real-life best friends.
“You can laugh, it’s a comedy,” Covino assured the crowd at a Cinema Society screening. But, “If you don’t laugh, it’s a drama, and Kyle wrote it.” Spotted were “New Amsterdam” star Mike Doyle, “Lost Girls” star Dean Winters and Sony Pictures Classics heads Michael Barker and Tom Bernard.
