Conor McGregor was given the middle finger by Dustin Poirier’s fuming wife Jolie after the chaotic end to UFC 264.

The Irishman suffered a broken tibia after collapsing on his ankle in the first round against Poirier.

It forced the cageside doctor to stop the fight, meaning McGregor was declared the loser.

But the bad blood spilled over post-fight with Poirier’s partner Jolie sticking her middle finger up to The Notorious, who was unable to stand up.

Before the fight, McGregor boasted how he had Jolie messaging him on Instagram.

And as the tempers boiled over, he again he looked to goad Poirier.

McGregor said: “Your wife is in my DMs. Hey baby, hit me back up and I’ll chat to you later on.

“We’ll be having an afterparty at the Wynn nightclub baby.”

McGregor — who promised Poirier would be leaving on a stretcher — was the one assisted out of the T-Mobile Arena.

But he left adamant on keeping the chapter open, meaning a fourth fight between himself and Poirier cannot be ruled out if he makes a recovery.

McGregor said: “I was boxing the bleeding head off him, kicking the bleeding leg off him.

“Usual s***e, dive to close the distance. This is not over. I have to take this outside with him, it’s all outside.”

McGregor was taken to hospital where he will undergo surgery, UFC president Dana White confirmed.

He said: “All that stuff, you can’t do the hypotheticals in this sport.

“It’s all about timing and what’s going on and what has happened since then.

“We’ve got to see how this whole thing plays out. Conor goes into surgery [Sunday.]

“I don’t know how long he’s going to be out, how much rehab and therapy he’s going to need.”

Conor McGregor was mobbed by fans as he left a restaurant and needed a security team to help free his car from the adoring masses.

The Notorious gave an incredible insight into his superstar lifestyle as he dined out to celebrate the 4th of July in America.

The 32-year-old is preparing for his eagerly anticipated rematch with Dustin Poirier on Saturday but partook in celebrations Stateside.

On his way out to his car, he showed the scale of the crowd that awaited him which left even him temporarily stuck for words as he gasped “Jesus Christ.”

Ever the showman, he then treated the crowd to some shadowboxing before hopping in his luxury sports car and trying to maneuver his way out.

That process took several minutes as there were fans all around him.

Eventually, he was able to slowly make his out onto the road thanks to an extensive security team coordinating his exit although several persistent fans ran alongside him for as long as they could.

In the restaurant itself the Dubliner treated himself to a six-course meal, starting with oysters, jumbo prawns and several other luxury ingredients.

The second dish was lobster bisque laced with sherry, followed by an Asian pear salad.

Then came the main course: a “Surf and Turf” dish, containing filet mignon and lobster tail.

The mouthwatering main came with seasonal vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes.

The meal was topped off with a dessert as the fighter chose between creme brulee, dark chocolate cake and banana bread pudding.

Clearly feeling confident about where his weight is at less than a week out from Friday’s weigh-in, he might need to burn those calories off in the gym as he prepares to fight Poirier for a third time.

His first scrap with The Diamond at UFC 178 in September 2014 ended in a dominant first-round KO.

But he was stunned in the second of their January contest where his foe finished him this time after battering his lead leg with calf kicks.

Thousands of Manchester United fans have descended upon Old Trafford to protest against the Glazers with supporters storming onto the pitch.

And fuming Red Devils fans have even blocked their squad from leaving the Lowry Hotel ahead of their clash against rivals Liverpool on Sunday.

The United faithful have gathered en masse outside the Theatre of Dreams in a planned protest, where Ole Gunnar Solskjaer pleaded for it to be peaceful.

But tempers have flared during the protest, with supporters seen throwing punches at each other.

And footage has emerged online showing fans inside the ground where they have stormed onto the pitch and lit off flares.

A flare can also be seen directed towards the Sky Sports studio where Jamie Carragher was watching from.

Sky Sports claimed during their live broadcast that pitchside cameras as well as balls, corner flags and other items have been taken.

The Manchester Evening News has reported that around 10,000 fans are campaigning against the Glazers as fans look to force their American owners to leave.

They claim that a section of fans launched a beer can at a camera crew, telling them to “Stick your f*** cameras up your a***” before they broke into Old Trafford.

Manchester Evening News also state that there has been no coronavirus breach as fans haven’t made their way into the dressing rooms.

Fans have been left furious following the club’s plans to enter the European Super League, before they were forced to pull out following mass outrage.

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s protest, Solskjaer said: “It’s important that the fans’ views are listened to and we communicate better.

“My job is to focus on the football side and that we have the best possible team.

“As I’ve said before I’ve been backed, I’ve had great support from the club and the owners and I’m sure I will get the backing again to go one step further.

“But I’m so happy all the clubs have agreed that this shouldn’t be the way of moving forward.

“Then again, when the protests are on, it’s important they go in a good fashion and that we keep it peaceful.”

The Athletic have stated that Old Trafford has been placed on lockdown.

Journalist Lauire Whitwell tweeted: “Old Trafford placed on lockdown as fans get onto pitch.

“Hundreds make their way through the stadium and exit the other side.

“Security taking a sensible approach, letting them out the gates where team coaches should arrive later.”

Despite the chaos, Sky have insisted that United’s derby clash against Liverpool is still expected to take go ahead at 11:30 a.m. (ET.)

Jake Paul revealed his KO demolition of Ben Askren generated 1.5 million pay-per-view buys on Saturday night.

And the YouTube star says the bout raked a mega $75 million just in PPV buys.

Paul looked delighted to share the news as he posted an image on Instagram flashing a load of dollar bills.

The 24-year-old is set to make millions more in box office money on top of his reported $690,000 fight purse.

Paul stopped Askren in round one of their Triller pay-per-view headline bout in Atlanta, Georgia.

Paul landed a simple one-two over the top and left the retired UFC fighter unable to continue in the eyes of the referee.

And a video shot ringside showed the brutality of Paul’s finish as Askren was left face-flat on the canvas.

Afterwards, he said: “I told y’all I was gonna do it in the first round. I told y’all I’m a real fighter.

“I don’t know how many times I’ve gotta prove myself that this is for real.”

Askren, 36, barely got into the fight before he hit the deck and saw the action waved off.

Paul, 24, moved to 3-0 in his boxing career since turning professional in January 2020 and dedicated the win to his bodyguard Shamir “Shadow” Bolivar, who passed away earlier this month.

“This is for Shadow, my security guard, who passed away 10 days ago,” Paul said. “He told me I would knock him out in the first round. He said he had a vision, a dream.

“This has been the hardest 10 days of my life. I had to hold it together to keep it going. And I’m just honored to be here.”
