Stepping up their style! Country music’s biggest stars proved that they can clean up nicely when a red carpet gets rolled out. Because even though the 2021 CMAs went by in a flash, we can’t stop obsessing over the fabulous fashion from the evening.

The annual awards show, which took place on Wednesday, November 10, brought country crooners to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. From Carly Pearce’s midnight blue Marchesa gown to Jennifer Hudson’s custom Dolce & Gabbana dress, the stars definitely served up some stylish looks.

While all the stars traded in their cowboy boots for couture, there were still a few celebs that stood out among the rest. Those that landed on our best dressed list? Katy Perry, Maren Morris, Carrie Underwood, Nicole Kidman and, of course, Kelsea Ballerini.

Press play on the video above to check out all of these stunning looks and keep scrolling for a breakdown of each star’s gorgeous glam!

5) Lady in leather! Perry didn’t just swoop in to help Luke Bryan with his hosting gig, she also served up one of the best style moments from the evening. The 27-year-old American Idol judge looked chic as could be in a custom Vivienne Westwood leather dress, which she teamed with jewels from the designer. Her hair was slicked back into an uber-tight top night and her makeup was kept to a minimum.

4) Morris looked white hot on the red carpet — no ifs, ands or buts about it. The 31-year-old singer didn’t shy away from showing a little skin, skipping a shirt underneath her extra-long blazer. The star switched up her hairstyle for the evening and rocked a deep diagonal part that was tied back into a “fuzzy, fluffy” ponytail. The ‘do was pulled together thanks to stylist Marwa Bashir, who used a lineup of TRESemmé products.

3) If looks could kill! An evening celebrating country music couldn’t possibly be complete sans a shout out to the one and only Underwood. The 38-year-old “Before He Cheats” vocalist brought glitz and glam to the event, sparkling in a studded and spiky metallic gown. She accessorized her look with diamond earrings and sky-high stilettos.

2) Arriving hand-in-hand with husband Kieth Urban, Kidman, 54, looked nothing short of sleek and sophisticated in a Saint Laurent by Anthony Vacarello one-shoulder gown complete with a sexy leg slit and one-shoulder neckline.

1) Glam slam! Ballerini is understandably topping our list, as the 28-year-old singer simply blew Us away in a gorgeous Valdrin Sahiti gown, Andrea Wazen shoes and Anito Ko jewelry. The star, who was styled by Molly Dickson, didn’t disappoint in the glam department either. She worked with makeup artist and hairstylist Kelsey Deenihan for a “classic beauty look” that was “clean, chic and timeless.” To get her stunning hair, Deenihan used a lineup of Nexxus products.

Cleaned up cowboys! The men of country music brought the heat to the 2021 CMA Awards, which were held on Wednesday, November 10. Because whether they decided to stay true to their roots with western flair or trade in their denim for designer duds, the dudes did not disappoint.

From the second they started arriving on the red carpet, which was rolled out at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, it became that this was going to be an event filled with fabulous fashion.

Because while there was certainly a fair share of traditional tuxedos, some stars decided to spice things up for the 55th annual event. From velvet sets and fancy footwear to the occasional necklace, ring or bracelet, there was no shortage of style.

From Jimmie Allen‘s hot pink suit and next-level jewels to Lionel Richie‘s classic black tuxedo, these singer’s have clearly upped the ante when it comes to their style. Maroon was clearly a popular hue among the men of country music, as Thomas Rhett, Luke Combs and Scotty McCreery all showed up in the shade.

With a red carpet rolled out at Bridgestone Arena, it didn’t take long for Us to realize that these singer’s weren’t messing around in the style department. Because if we’re being frank, they brought out all the stops for the 55th annual awards show.

The 34-year-old Gossip Girl alum made some DIY adjustments to her Manolo Blahnik pumps before popping over to the Empire State Building in New York City to talk about her new brand Betty Buzz’s partnership with British Airways .

For the event, Lively clearly wanted to create a monochromatic fashion moment, which she describes as “Dorthony post visit to the Oz Salon.” To achieve the whole vibe, she teamed her stunning satin red Georges Chakra mini dress with an assortment of ruby jewels from Alison Lou, Retroubai, Brent Neale, Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira Jewels.

The only problem? The pendant design on the front of her Manolo Blahnik shoes was a clear color that seemingly threw off the all red moment. Fear not though, Lively just whipped out a bottle of nail polish, brushed along the rhinestones and made the whole look matchy-matchy.

Now, given that the fashion house is known for their fabulous designs, the Age of Adeline star made sure to issue an apology for her, ahem, creativity.

Blake Lively Courtesy of Blake Lively/Instagram

“I’m sorry,” she captioned a picture of her outfit. “@manoloblahnik for painting the white jewels on my shoes with red nail polish as I was walking out the door. Worth it tho??”

Lively also made sure to ask for forgiveness from Max Mara, as she tied their stunning trench coat “like I’m the 5th Golden Girl,” as well as “the color pink,” since she used the hue to “cheat on my red look.” (The star carried a pink and red ombré Chanel bag for the event.)

While the actress’ creative liberties clearly paid off in the end, it’s worth noting that this is far from the first time she decided to go rogue with a designer dud.

In August, she made the highly relatable decision to pair her Prabal Gurung gown, which she wore to the Free Guy premiere, with a pair of Converse kicks.

These fabulous footwear decisions are entirely Livley’s own choices, as she notably works without a stylist. “It’s a lot of work [but] I mean, it’s not hard in that we all dress ourselves every morning,” she told WWD in 2018. “So once you have the clothes, you just pink out what to wear like any other human being does. But it’s easier because you have access to clothes so it’s not that hard.”

The 39-year-old singer is apparently working with Donatella Versace to create what we can only imagine will be a stunning wedding gown for her walk down the aisle.

Spears revealed this little tidbit of information via Instagram. She posted a slideshow of photos and videos in a pale pink gown, but didn’t want her followers to misinterpret the fashion statement.

The Versace and Spears mashup clearly got the stamp of approval from the “Circus” singer’s fans, as many took the opportunity to share their excitement.

“I’m glad your supportive friend Donatella is making your dress. It’s gonna be stunning I’m sure.
Others took the post as a clue that the singer plans to walk down the aisle in a princess-style gown, dropping “Princessney” throughout the comments section.

Asghari and Spears announced their engagement on Sunday, September 12 — and the Crossroads star wasted no time showing off her bauble.

The trainer, 27, popped the question with a 4-carat bauble designed by Forever Diamonds NY. According to a press release shared with Us Weekly at the time, the ring features a “round brilliant stone in a platinum cathedral setting.” The brand further explained that the the solitaire design was enhanced “with pavé detailing on the bridge and flush set diamonds on the prongs and basket.”

Asghari even added a sweet sentimental touch to his fiancée’s new bling. He had “Lioness,” which is his nickname for Spears, engraved on the inside of the band.

The duo first met while on set for her “Slumber Party” music video in October 2016 and started dating just one month later.
Now, the couple are gearing up to say “I do.” And a source told Us in March that Asghari even has kids on the brain. “Sam would love to start a family with Britney,” the insider said. “He’s always dreamt of having children and thinks he would be a great father. He’s a natural around little kids.”

Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde. Jordan Strauss/AP/Shutterstock; Matt Baron/Shutterstock

Bonding over bling! Harry Styles has always had a flair for fashion, but his jewelry during his Love On Tour concerts are much more than a style statement. In fact, the 27-year-old singer is repping his relationship with Olivia Wilde thanks to his A+ accessory game.

“Jewelry was always going to be a part of Harry’s onstage look when he planned this tour, but his relationship with Olivia has turned this costuming idea into a genuine shared passion,” a source exclusively shared with Us Weekly.

The 37-year-old actress actually gifts the singer baubles to wear while he’s performing. “He’s wearing pieces on stage that she only gave him recently and he’s traveling with a trunk load of the stuff. He just isn’t shy about how much he loves that old rock and roll, jewelry-encrusted look,” the insider added.

In addition to jewelry, the “Watermelon Sugar” singer has been sending fans crazy with his on-stage outfits, which consist of fringe vests, wide-leg trousers and blouses designed largely by Gucci.

But it was Wilde who prompted a viral TikTok earlier this month, after an eagle-eyed fan picked up on the fact that the Don’t Worry Darling actress wore a piece of jewelry from her beau’s collection to the Gucci Love Parade in Los Angeles.

The Booksmart director, who sat front-row at the fashion show, paired her lace bralette, bustier and pencil skirt with a gold cross pendant on a dainty chain. The latter appears to be the same piece — or a very similar one — to a necklace Styles has been spotted wearing on multiple occasions.

Wilde doesn’t just wear Styles’ jewelry though. She’s also a fan of his merch. In October, the star stepped out in a “Treat People With Kindness” hoodie from the singer’s line. The week prior, she also carried his Love On Tour tote bag while out and about in Los Angeles.

The pair’s romance first made headlines in January, when they were spotted holding hands at Styles’ manger’s wedding, just two months after she split from former fiancé Jason Sudeikis.

At the time, a source exclusively told Us that the two formed a connection while on set of Don’t Worry Darling. “Harry and Olivia had chemistry almost instantaneously on set,” the insider said. “It was only a matter of time before they got together.”

Joel C Ryan/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

Jason Momoa has some explaining to do when it comes to his footwear collection. For context, the 42-year-old actor has been spotted not just once — but twice — wearing shoes that are seemingly too small for his feet.

On Wednesday, November 10, the Hawaii native was photographed at an afterparty following the House of Gucci premiere in London. The performer looked dapper in a black suit teamed with cranberry-colored velvet loafers.

But what’s peculiar about the look is that upon close speculation, Momoa seems to have slipped his heel out of his loafer so that he’s stepping on the back of it — and essentially crushing it.

Mega

While it’s easy to chock this whole shoe situation up to a one-time malfunction or slight discomfort, that’s not actually the case. The Aquaman star has pulled this heel-out-of-his-loafer look before.

Rewind to the Dune photocall in October and Momoa’s footwear sitch is all too familiar. While posing for photos with the always-fabulous Zendaya, the actor decided to just pop his his heel out of his velvet maroon loafer and flatten the entire back half of his shoe. But hey, when a blister’s brewing you have to do what you have to do.

Now, an untrained eye may have mistaken the pricey, polished looking shoes for a pair of slides, but the Twitterverse knows a whole lot better than that. And they wasted no time calling out the Marvel star for his questionable attire.

“I’m so sad for Jason Momoa here knowing his feet hurt and he had to take his shoes half-off at his Dune press call,” a sympathetic follower wrote, while another quipped, “Jason Momoa is so big he doesn’t even fit into his own shoes.”

Thankfully, switching up his shoe game (and wearing a pair that actually fits) should be pretty easy for Momoa given that he has his own line of vegan sneakers at his disposal. The Sweet Girl star teamed up with shoe brand So iLL to create some kicks made from algae. The collection also includes sandals.

“Style matters. How you feel and how you wear it is important,” the actor told Footwear News in April while speaking about the collection. “I really love that we can have some function and fashion and make something good for the Earth. And I just love pink. It has a calming effect on me.”

While most people would agree that low-rise jeans are best left in the past, Christina Aguilera is pretty thrilled that they’re making a comeback.

Why, you ask? Well, she is part of the reason that the whole trend came to be in the first place. “I know low rise is coming back and the under-the-boob moments are coming back strong. It’s really nice to look back and to recognize a lot of these moments,” she said in a Tuesday, November 9 interview with InStyle. “I know many female artist go through this, but sometimes we get heat for doing certain things or not everyone gets it.”

Aguilera went on to explain how surreal it is that fashion statements she made popular “stand the test of time and become these iconic moments.” As a reminder, she famous rocked leather chaps flared jeans and itty-bitty crop tops in the early aughts — so we did, too.

“I love looking at that and seeing that I spread some joy in people’s live in that way and being fashion-forward and experimental,” she told the outlet. “I was never afraid to be myself and to express myself the way I felt as an artist and so it’s awesome to see a new generation enjoy the fashion.”

Bella Hadid Beretta/Sims/Shutterstock

Street style icons like Bella Hadid, Dua Lipa and Irina Shayk have gotten on board the low rise jean train, as has Olivia Wilde. In January 2020, the actress famously told InStyle that she actually finds the polarizing style the most comfortable.

“I’m still pretending to be a teenage from the early aughts,” said Wilde at the time. “My most comfortable state is when I’m wearing low-rise jeans, sneakers and a sweatshirt. In that, I am unstoppable. And if I’m in a high-waist jean, I can’t let my gut expand.”

However, other Hollywood stars have made it abundantly clear that they never want this particular part of early 2000s fashion to return to the mainstream.

In October, for example, Sofia Richie exclusively told Us Weekly that while she can get behind the skinny jean if the outfit “calls for it,” don’t expect to see her rocking a low-rise cut anytime soon. “The only denim trend I’m not into is the low rise trend that’s made a comeback this year,” she said while talking about her collaboration with Rollas Jeans.

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex speaks at Global Citizen Live in Central Park, in New York on September 25, 2021. Evan Agostini/Invision/AP/Shutterstock

A mini mogul! Meghan Markle’s business savvy isn’t something new — the 40-year-old royal has been making moves since she was in elementary school.

Her first entrepreneurial venture? A homemade scrunchie business, which seems very fitting considering that the Duchess of Sussex seemingly has a good hair day, every day. Seriously, even her messy bun is perfect.

“I remember when I was really young, I must have been 8 or 9, I started making scrunchies to sell,” she told Andrew Ross Sorkin and Ariel Investment’s President Mellody Hobson during The New York Times DealBook Online Summit, which was held on Tuesday, November 9. “I had my mom take me downtown to get scraps of fabric from the fabric stores and sell them five for five bucks.”

And even though the Suits star has a pretty lengthy resume of achievements and accolades under her belt today, the pride that came along with her first foray into the beauty business sticks with her to this day.

“I remember the feeling of knowing that I had done something,” she said during the event, which discussed how women can reach economic and professional parity. “I had invested in myself and done this labor and been compensated for it. There’s a sense of pride that comes from that.”

While the royal (unfortunately) no longer has her scrunchie business up and running, she does have a ton of other ventures in the pipeline. Not only is she the host of Archewell audio, a mom of two (she shares son Archie and daughter Lili with Prince Harry) and the author of The Bench, but she also recently launched the 40×40 Initiative.

The company is a mentorship program for women re-entering the workforce and was created in response to the two million women that have left the workforce as a result of COVID-19.

The organization was launched in August to mark Markle’s 40th birthday. “Because I’m turning 40, I’m asking 40 friends to donate 40 minutes of their time to help mentor a woman who is mobilizing back into the workforce,” she explained in a video released at the time. “And I think if we all do it, and all commit 40 minutes of some act of service, we can create a ripple effect.”

To help her execute her endeavor, Markle tapped friends like Melissa McCarthy, Adele, Amanda Gorman and Gloria Steinem.

It’s official: Lady Gaga has kicked off her House of Gucci press tour — and if her first look is any indication, she’s definitely not going to disappoint.

Because when she rolled up to the UK premiere on Tuesday, November 9, in a jaw-dropping violet Gucci gown, it was clear that she wasn’t going to mess around with her red carpet glam.

Her dress, which was part of the fashion house’s 2022 collection, was made of entirely sheer material. It featured rushing around the torso, a major slit up the leg and a gorgeous cape that made for oh-so memorable photo ops.

The gown was obviously stunning solo, but in true Gaga fashion, the accessories were just as much part of the equation. The actress, who worked with stylists Sandra Amador and Tom Eerebout, teamed the dress with fishnet stockings, massive platform boots, bedazzled gloves and diamonds galore from Tiffany & Co.

Her glam was just as dramatic as her outfit, which should come as no surprise given that the “Bad Romance” singer has her own beauty brand, Haus Labs. She worked with makeup artist Sarah Tan for a look that was very clearly all about the eyes. Seriously, can we take a moment of silence for her purple lids?!? That’s not all though. To really up the ante, she also decided to debut some subtle fringe for the big shebang thanks to hairstylist Frederic Aspiras.

It didn’t take long for fans to absolutely lose their chill over the star’s red carpet glam, as they took Twitter by storm. “Lady Gaga always understand the assignment,” a user captioned a series of images from the event. Another person added: “Cleanse your timeline with Lady Gaga being badass.”

While the star stopped to pose for many photos solo, she was also joined by her fabulous co-stars on the red carpet — and it’s safe to say this cast knows how to clean up nicely.

Adam Driver, who plays Maurizio Gucci, in the film looked dapper as ever in a navy Burberry tuxedo. Jared Leto, who stars as Paolo Gucci, had fun with fashion for the big premiere. He donned a turquoise velour suit, which he accessorized with a pendant necklace.

To see all these fabulous looks and more of the fabulous fashion from the London premiere, keep scrolling! Because from Salma Hayek’s gilded gold gown to Camille Cottin’s sleek suit, we’re rounding up the best looks, ahead!

Courtesy of Tiffany

Streetwear meets sparkle! Tiffany & Co. and Supreme just shook up the style space, announcing that they have teamed up to drop a joint jewelry line inspired by pieces that were originally launched in the 1960s.

The collaboration, which will be available for purchase on November 12, puts a modern day, edgy spin on the traditionally timeless, sterling silver jewels. The drop is made up of seven pieces in total, with everything from necklaces and bracelets to a T-shirt in the ever-iconic Tiffany blue. The prices range from $54 to $1,250.

One item that really encompasses the whole vibe of the Fall 2021 collection is the Heart Knife Key Ring. The accessory features the traditional Tiffany & Co heart design with the text: “Please Return to New York 925.” But then enter the Supreme flair. Not only does the piece feature the brand’s logo smack dab in the center, but it also comes with a key that opens up into a pocket knife.

Another standout item from the collection is the Oval Tag Pearl Necklace, which is made with freshwater cultured pearls. The necklace features an identical logo on a round disk, which dangles from the center of a timeless chain.

This drop, which was announced on Monday, November 8, has been met with a mixed response from fans. Pop over to Supreme’s Instagram account and people are already planning out their purchase. “That key is dope,” a fan wrote, while someone else said: “Let’s go finally some silver pieces, price tag is prolly high, but oh well.” Another person added: “So fire.”

While some loyal Tiffany & Co. fans shared in the excitement, others weren’t thrilled by the collaboration, claiming that it’s a departure from the brand’s “timeless” feel. “That’s a no for me,” a user wrote, while another added, “I’m not at all keen on this whatsoever.”

The jewelry brand has been making headlines pretty frequently over the past few months. In July, they launched their “Not Your Mother’s Tiffany” campaign in an effort to recruit younger fans to their demographic.

Flash forward to August, and the jewelry house recruited Beyoncé and Jay-Z to star in their About Love campaign, which was filled with references to Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The 40-year-old actress even wore the brand’s one and only Tiffany Diamond for the campaign, making her the first Black woman and fourth-ever woman to wear the 128.54-carat jewel.

Holm for the early aughts-inspired glam complete with pastel purple eyeshadow and hairstylist Josh Liu for her fabulous updo.

The whole doppelgänger situation was pretty much confirmed by The Voice, as the show’s official Instagram account tweeted a GIF of the star with the caption: “We like your dress, @ArianaGrande.”

Understandably, this fabulous 13 Going on 30 tribute sent social media into an all-out freak out.

“You even got the same hairstyle, earring, eyeshadow … you’re missing the necklace but like, hello thank you for dressing up as Jenna Rink my forever favorite character in one of my fave movies,” a fan tweeted, sharing a side-by-side picture of Garner and Grande.

I AM LOSING MY MIND,” a user tweeted, while another person said, “13 Going on 30 the musical with Ariana Grande as Jenna Rink might be something we need.”

While this look-a-like moment will go down in history, it’s worth mentioning that this isn’t the first time Grande has channeled her inner Jenna Rink. For her “Thank U, Next” music video, she recreated a different look from the 2004 movie.

At the time, Garner even took to Instagram to share her love for Grande’s take on her character. “Every now and then something comes along and just brightens your day. @arianagrande you’re adorable. Thank you, pretty girl,” she captioned a screen shot from the music video.

In response, Grande said: “NooooooooOoOOoOo I’m crying. I watched this movie every night before bed growing up (and I still do sometimes, especially when I’m sad. I adore you! Thank you for all the inspiration and joy you’ve brought to my life I’m screaming bye and by sometimes I literally mean every night still.”

Lady Gaga. SAUL LOEB/POOL/EPA-EFE/Shutterstock

Made of metal! Lady Gaga made a major fashion statement when she performed at President Joe Biden’s inauguration, but it turns out there was a lot more to her look then met the eye.

At the time, the 35-year-old singer sparked comparisons to the Hunger Games’ Katniss Everdeen, who was played by Jennifer Lawrence, thanks to her dove pin. But flash forward to present day and the star has her fans buzzing about something else entirely.

In a Monday, November 8, interview about her Life in Looks with Vogue, the House of Gucci actress revealed that her dress from that day in DC was actually bulletproof.

Lady Gaga. Win McNamee/UPI/Shutterstock

“This is one of my favorite things I’ve ever worn,” she said in the 20-minute video. “I wore this Schiaparelli design for the inauguration and nobody knows this, but this is a bulletproof dress.”

The metal make-up wasn’t the only reason Gaga gravitated toward the design — the brooch was actually the selling point. “When I saw that golden dove, I just knew that this was the right piece and I knew Schiaparelli, being an Italian fashion house, it was something that I really, really wanted to do for my heritage as an Italian-American woman.”

She went on to explain that prior to performing, a “young man” asked her if she was nervous. And while she admittedly was, she believed that “fashion really can give you wings like a dove.”

Gaga placing such symbolism in fashion is a recurring theme, as the same holds true for the time the “Bad Romance” singer went to meet Queen Elizabeth in 2009. For her meet and greet, she chose a red, latex design by Atsuko Kudo.

“I wanted to dress like a queen in British fashion and I also wanted to do it in my way,” she revealed. “We thought that we [would] give this look of a queen a modern twist by making it in latex.”

Gaga went on to explain that at the time, Atsuko Kudo was one of the only designers tailoring latex “in this way,” so he was the obvious choice. The final product featured padded, puff sleeves, an old-fashioned collar and a floor-length hem.

Of course, the Haus Labs founder upped the ante on her outfit with fabulous glam. She donned sequin embellishments around both of her eyes and a bold red lip. Her blonde hair was styled in bouncy, Old Hollywood-inspired curls.

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

She’s got skills! Ariana Grande may have a glam squad at the ready 24/7, but she definitely doesn’t need them. Because as it turns out, she pretty much has what it takes to be a professional makeup artist.

On Sunday, November 7, the 28-year-old singer shared some gorgeous pictures from a recent shoot. And while hair guru Josh Liu was credited for her fabulous hair and stylist Mimi Cuttrell was responsible for picking out her adorable ivory seashell dress, the flawless complexion, perfect wing and expertly applied eyelashes were all a result of Grande’s work.

In fact, she did such a good job that her go-to makeup artist Ash K. Holm even took notice. “Making me proud with the glam,” she commented on the “7 Rings” singer’s Instagram post. Holm even took to her own Instagram Stories to show her support.

“Makeup by @arianagrande Can we talk about how chic beautiful she looks?! Making me proud,” Holm, who did Grande’s makeup for her wedding, captioned the photo.

While we had no idea that the singer was * that * good at doing her own glam, it’s no surprise that she knows her way around a makeup bag — she’s launching her own line of beauty products, r.e.m. beauty, on November 12.

Earlier today, the brand teased some of the products in the first drop, giving the first preview at the brand’s packaging. In line with previous photo shoots and campaign imagery, the products all have a futuristic feel with chrome and metallic casing.

“Chapter 1” of the four-part launch includes eyeshadows, lashes, mascaras, eyeliners, highlighters, matte lipstick, lip stains and lip glosses.

Fans obviously wasted no time sharing their excitement about the impending launch date, taking the comments section on the teaser posts by storm. “TAKE MY MONEY NOW PLZ,” a user wrote, while another added: “THIS IS INCREDIBLE.”

The singer first spoke about her beauty brand in September, telling Allure that “it was so hard” to keep her line under wraps for so long. “Covering the secret for the past two years and having testers and samplers in my purse and people asking me, ‘Oh, I love your highlight, what are you wearing?’ And me being like, ‘I don’t know, sweating,’” she joked to the outlet.

Even with her passion for the industry and obvious talent for makeup, Grande isn’t ignorant to the fact that celebrity brands are a dime a dozen. Still, she thinks there’s always room for more when it comes to makeup.

“I love and am a huge fan of peers that do both and I think that it’s just another way to tell stories. Because you can never have enough makeup, just like you can never have enough music,” she said.

Reese Witherspoon. Rob Latour/Shutterstock

Red carpet royalty! Whether she’s wearing sleek, skin-hugging gowns or tuxedo-inspired mini-dresses, Reese Witherspoon clearly knows how to kill it on a red carpet.

But as it turns out, it took a little bit of time for the 45-year-old actress to learn what looks are best suited for her body type. “When it comes to getting dressed, there’s so much noise in the world,” The Morning Show star said in a Monday, November 8, interview with InStyle. “In my 30s, I learned to accept my body for what it is. This is what looks good on it. It will never look good in that thing over there with all the fabric and the bows and the ruffles. It just won’t.”

While she admittedly falls “into that trap” of wanting to pull off what others wear, she’s gotten better about realizing what cuts, patterns and silhouettes work with her figure.

“I look at somebody and go, ‘She looks so good in that.’ And I realize, ‘Oh, she’s tall. I’m only 5 foot 2. It will not look that good on me,’” she said in the interview.

She’s also a fan of “classic style,” which is why you’ll frequently see the Legally Blonde star hitting premieres and awards shows in off-the-shoulder necklines and A-line gowns. Of course, she also has her go-to designers.

“Stella McCartney and Phoebe Philo and Tom Ford and Michael Kors. These people are incredibly skilled and gifted at what they do and I’m sort of trying to showcase their work while also talking about my work,” Witherspoon added.

The actress may have rolodex of designers she relies on for her red carpet appearances, but on the day-to-day Witherspoon likes to rock pieces from her own brand, Draper James, which she launched in 2015.

“I started this company to honor my Southern heritage and in particular my grandparents [Dorthea Draper and William James] who were, and still are the greatest influences in my life,” the Hot Pursuit actress wrote on her site at the time of launch.

In the time that’s passed, Witherspoon has launched a store and expanded into home decor, accessories and much more. She’s even gone so far as creating articles of clothing inspired by her on-screen characters.

Circa 2019, she launched a floral frock that took inspiration from her role on Big Little Lies. The star captioned an Instagram post: “@draperjames designed a dress after my @biglittlelies character! Colorful, floral and sassy just like Madeline Mackenzie.”

Rebel Wilson hasn’t just dropped pounds during her “Year of Health,” — she’s also said adieu to a whole closet of shoes.

“I’ve noticed weird things,” the 41-year-old actress exclusively told Us Weekly about her body changes after weight loss. “My feet have shrunk. It is the weirdest thing because every time I put on high heels, they are always too big and I look like an idiot … It’s the most annoying thing ever because who would have thought that your feet would lose weight?”

Patrick MacLeod

While the Pitch Perfect star is understandably distraught over the fact that “every pair of shoes is too big,” she knows that her newfound small feet are a result of less inflammation.

“I was living with a lot of inflammation in the body and I just didn’t realize that. That’s why my feet were bigger, it wasn’t actually the size of foot, it was just because of the inflammation,” she said to Stylish.

Now a shrinking shoe size isn’t the only change that’s come along over the past year. Wilson admits that she’s noticed a ton of changes in her hair, nail and skin health too.

Patrick MacLeod

“I suffer from something called PCOS and one of the characteristics is to have fine hair. But my hairdresser was saying this morning, ‘Gosh, you hair is in such, such good shape,’” she revealed. Same goes for her nails, which have become much stronger.

“I think just being healthier overall, it’s almost like your body is working a bit more like it should,” Wilson said. “And I think for a 41-year-old, my skin is in pretty good shape.”

While these changes are largely a result of her healthy habits (read: movement, water intake, etc), the comedian also swears by the Olly Wellness Undeniable Beauty Vitamins. “It has biotin and keratin in it. Back in the day, I was using keratin treatments on my hair. But then to ingest it, it’s kind of like beauty from the inside-out in a way. I’ve been finding that everything’s great and in good form,” she added.

And the fact that the gummies are so “yummy” doesn’t hurt either — the Undeniable Beauty, Essential Prenatal and Perfect Women’s Multi are like her little afternoon “pick-me-up.” The reverse holds true too though, as the Bedtime Beauty gummies help the Pooch Perfect star wind down every evening.

“I have this whole little routine,” she admits. She’ll run a bubble bath, complete with Epsom salts and the occasional bath oil (she likes the Ren Moroccan Rose Otto Bath Oil), turn on “anything on Bravo” and crack open her vitamins. “I take one of these and then 30 minutes later — out. I sleep great,” she told Us.

Sarah Jessica Parker New Line Cinema/Hbo/Village Roadshow/Kobal/Shutterstock

Under lock and key! Sarah Jessica Parker may just be slipping back into Carrie Bradshaw’s Manolo Blahnik pumps for the Sex and the City revival, but get this: she’s had all of her character’s iconic clothing tucked away in safe keeping for the past 17 years.

“I had all of the original stuff in my own storage. Furniture, clothes, everything, packed according to season and episode and scene,” the 56-year-old actress revealed in a Sunday, November 7, interview with Vogue. “I kept every single solitary thing.”

While Carrie’s quirky style and six year stint on Sex and the City undoubtably resulted in an overwhelming number of amazing couture items, there are obviously a few that stand out among the rest.

“Here are the Hangisis Big gave Carrie when he proposed, the sandals Aidan’s dog chew on, the black pumps she wore to the Vogue fashion closet,” Parker explained while walking through the closet in Carrie’s apartment.

Sarah Jessica Parker Hbo/Darren Star Productions/Kobal/Shutterstock

Some of the items in question are even getting to see the city streets for another go round. Costume designer Molly Rodgers has made the very fabulous decision to incorporate a handful of pieces from Carrie’s original wardrobe into the And Just Like That … revival series.

In addition to Carrie’s Fendi Baguette bag, snakeskin Prada shoes and Timmy Woods Eiffel Tower bag, it seems as though the aforementioned shoes that got snagged by puppy Pete in season four, will also be incorporated into the reboot.

Flashback to May, and Parker shared a snap of the sandals via Instagram. “Unearthed,” she captioned her post at the time, tagging @justlikethatmax. “PS they have been in archive all these past years. Seeing them again … Well, X,” she added in the comments section.

Sarah Jessica Parker New Line/Kobal/Shutterstock

Even though some aspects of Carrie’s fashion have stayed the same as the years have passed, Parker has found herself at another stage in her life during this 2.0 round of filming. And while there’s overwhelming positivity surrounding the reboot, Parker says there’s a flip side to the coin.

“There’s so much misogynist chatter in response to use that would Never. Happen. About. A. Man,” she told the outlet, pointing out that her gray hair in the reboot has been a major focus. “I’m sitting with Andy Cohen and he has a full head of gray hair and he’s exquisite. Why is it okay for him? I don’t know what to tell you people!”

She added that social media has only made the fixation around ageism that much bigger. “Everyone has something to say. ‘She has too many wrinkles, she doesn’t have enough wrinkles.’ It almost feels as if people don’t want us to be perfectly okay with where we are, as if they almost enjoy us being pained by who we are today, whether we choose to age naturally and not look perfect or whether you do something if that makes you feel better,” she explained. “I know what I look I like. I have no choice. What am I going to do about it? Stop aging? Disappear?”

Well dressed guests! The LACMA Art + Film Gala was held on Saturday, November 6, and there’s no question that everyone in attendance made sure to show up in style.

The 10th annual event, which was held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, honored Steven Spielberg in addition to two portrait artists for President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama. It’s also worth noting that the big shebang was presented by Gucci, so it was obviously fitting that handful of those in attendance were dressed by the brand.

Miley Cyrus for instance, who is an ambassador for the brand’s beauty line, arrived in a Gucci x Balenciaga collaboration that had everyone stopping in their tracks. With a floral print pattern associated with Gucci and Balenciaga’s iconic pants-meets-boots silhouette, the 28-year-old singer certainly made a statement. The “Party in the USA” vocalist, who works with stylist Bradley Kenneth, accessorized her look with Rahaminov Diamonds and jewelry by Ruchi and Jared Lehr.

Salma Hayek also repped the brand for the big event, wearing a strapless sequin number with a violet to hot pink ombré finish. She teamed the stunning dress with a statement necklace and a little pink clutch.

While Cyrus and Hayek decided to go big with patterns and glitz, other stars kept things on the simpler side. But that doesn’t mean they looked any less stylish.

Take Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin) for example. The star, who was recently tapped as an ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent, opted for a classic and timeless ivory gown by the fashion house.

With a plunging neckline and padded shoulders, the frock oozed sleek sophistication. The 24-year-old model, who is newly working with stylist Karla Welch, paired the dress with jewels by Tiffany & Co. Her glam aligned perfectly with the vibe of the gown, too. Hairstylist Jen Atkin gave the Superga ambassador a slicked back bun, while makeup artist Mary Phillips kept things glowy and light, but added a pop with a deep red lip.

Eva Longoria also opted for a simple yet stunning gown, wearing a Vivienne Westwood dress that was covered in small sequins from top to bottom. With a low back and off-the-shoulder neckline, the 46-year-old star proved that she can dominate each and every red carpet.

To see all of these fabulous looks and all of the other fashion from the 2021 LACMA Art + Film Awards, keep scrolling. Because from Elle Fanning’s sheer Gucci gown to Paris Hilton’s custom Pamella Roland dress, we’re rounding up the best looks from the evening, ahead!

Kanye West explained that his choppy haircut was done to address the ‘phobia of mental health’ — details

Offering an explanation. In October, Kanye West unveiled a patchy, half-shaved haircut that left many confused. But now, the 44-year-old rapper is providing some clarity.

As it turns out, the peculiar design was a reference to when Britney Spears infamously buzzed off her hair Esther’s Haircutting Studio in Tarzana, California amid her highly-publicized breakdown.

“It’s a phobia of mental health, that’s the thing … When I cut my hair like that, I’m like, ‘Yo they’re gonna try and figure out [the meaning of] the haircut,” West said on the Thursday, November 4 episode of the “Drink Champs” podcast.

Britney Spears Bauer Griffin/MEGA

At this point, the host inquired: “What’s the name of the haircut?” West responded: “At first, you know, I called it the Britney. Now, it could be called the Ye..”

Later in the interview, it was revealed that while West initially went to a barber in Europe for his new ‘do, he added to the lining of his look at a later date. “As a black man, your lining, your haircut means so much,” he said. West went on to reveal that his ‘do actually depicts three doves, inspired by his basketball team, Donda Doves.

He then explained that the grow out of his hairstyle is just as significant as the cut itself. “It’s like a representation of my thoughts developing because of how close it is to my head. And then the whole thing is, it’s gotta look hot,” he added.

Prior to Kanye’s podcast episode, fans developed a handful of wild theories speculating why the Donda artist committed to the hair change. One social media user tried to convince the internet that his new buzzed style spelled out “Ye,” the performer’s new legal name. Others believed that the cut “symbolized that the world is divided.”

In addition to his hairstyle switch up, West also decided to shave off his eyebrows. The star debuted his new look at his Sunday Service on October 31, which was attended by Justin Bieber and Marilyn Manson. He was then spotted with his new look leaving Nobu Malibu two days later.

Naturally, people started to take notice of the Donda singer’s new look — and they didn’t hold back from sharing their takes on Twitter. “Kanye West really shaved off his eyebrows,” a user wrote, adding the eyes emoji. “Kanye West out here with a shitty haircut and no eyebrows,” another person added.

On Thursday, November 4, the 56-year-old detailed her emotional struggle with ageism in StyleLikeU’s ‘Defying Ageism’ series — and the 20-minute video featured some shocking revelations.

“I would write something about being 52 or 53 and looking like this and people would comment, ‘Well, big f–king deal. J. Lo is a lot better looking than you and she’s only like two years younger.’” the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model revealed in the tell-all video. “When I thought about it, all the actresses and singers and personalities around my age all looked better than me and they all looked younger than me because they’ve had some work done.

After a quick internet search, Porizkova found that there weren’t any stars around her age who hadn’t had cosmetic procedures. “It was a big empty hole. It wasn’t until you got to Betty White, where old people got to be cool again,” she said.

That gap between sexy and “cool” is where Porizkova’s iconic hashtag, #betweenjloandbettywhite, originated. “We’re kind of falling into a hole of being invisible between those two women and I’m not ok with that,” the Czechoslovakian-born beauty added.

Porizkova went on to explain that when she reached the age of 45, she started noticing a difference in how people responded to her when she posted pictures in lingerie or bikinis. “All of a sudden, I started getting an influx of, ‘Are you a little desperate there grandma? How about you cover up and spare us the look of your poor aging body,’” she recalled.

While she felt like the world was placing into her the “invisible woman category,” she also admitted that she was “far more interesting” at this point in her life than ever before.

Porizkova’s video has been met with the utmost praise. To point, followers have flocked to the comment section of her post in droves, thanking her for being emotionally and vulnerably candid. “This is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in a very long time,” one person wrote. Another commented: “This is so special to me! Being a 58 yr old woman I’ve felt how you feel. Love your honest beautiful words!”

This isn’t the first time that the model has spoken out about ageism in Hollywood and embracing her natural beauty. She frequently takes to Instagram to share unfiltered photos and call out haters. Following her photo shoot with LA Magazine, she even shared a completely “unretouched” version of her cover to keep things candid with her followers.

“For all of you who were unhappy about the retouching on my @lamag cover — and the rather large sticker — here is an unretouched version straight from the photographer @jill.greenberg. (I had to blur the nipple — IG weird nipple fear),” she captioned the image.
