Jenner’s style has evolved quite a bit since her early teenage years, but she tends to favor clean lines and minimalist silhouettes that show off her statuesque figure. Oh, and then there is the occasional nearly naked moment (she is, after all, a Kardashian-Jenner sister).

Pippa established herself as a fashion force to watch shortly after her sister got engaged to the future king of England, leaning toward conservative silky designs with flattering silhouettes. But when the royal wedding rolled around in 2011, she exploded on the style scene, walking down the aisle in a curve-hugging Alexander McQueen maid-of-honor gown.

Since she first burst onto the scene with her eponymous solo album in 1982, the multi-hyphenate singer, actress, director, humanitarian and beauty mogul has become a cultural icon. 

She’s also proven to be a pioneer in the music industry and beyond thanks to her boundary-defying performances, non-conformist fashion and unapologetic creativity that inspired fans around the globe to be true to themselves.

When it comes to style, the mother of six’s career has been defined by performance art-inspired costumes and fashion choices that never fail to start a conversation. Never one to shy away from a vibrant color or bold design, the 54-year-old beauty always turns heads on the red carpet with her chic, timeless aesthetic. 

Whether she’s draping her model-like figure in glittering gowns at the Oscars or channeling her inner Grace Kelly in Cannes, the Academy Award winner plays with proportions like few other leading ladies do. 

In the early aughts, sleek slip dresses were her go-to. During the 2000 Oscars, the actress hit the red carpet with ex-husband Tom Cruise. She shimmered in a metallic asymmetrical gown that gave the golden statue a run for its money.

So, it should come as no surprise that we’ve been treated to some pretty epic plus-one moments in the form of hot couples, darling dates and dynamic duos over the years.

There’s a lot to go over, thanks to the tradition of Hollywood royalty attending the Oscars together. Back in 1973, Cher showed off her toned tummy in a golden crop top and skirt alongside Sonny Bono, who kept things classic in a black tux.

Madonna and Michael Jackson caused quite the stir in 1991 when the Material Girl seemed to be channeling Marilyn Monroe with her Old Hollywood-inspired fur stole and red lip combo.

Flash forward to the early 2000s and we were treated to the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck (2003) and Beyoncé and Jay-Z (2005) showing off their power couple (and best dressed list-worthy!) status on the red carpet.

In the process, she reaffirmed that fashion can be about far more than glitz and glamour.

And in 2019, the actress has been serving memorable red carpet looks for movie premieres and A-lister events, like itty-bitty short shorts that showed off the star’s legs at the 45th Deauville American Film Festival in France, or a bright-yellow suit that the star styled with edgy accessories to reflect her signature cool-girl aesthetic.

While Hudson has access to some of the best hairstylists in the world, she said during a March 2018 appearance on the Lorraine Show that she actually asked her youngest son Bingham and her director (and close friend) Sia to chop off her previously long blonde locks.

“My little one and Sia took clippers to it. It’s funny because when you’re doing it for a role you don’t really think about it because you’re just ready for it. You’re like, ‘Let’s do this.’ But when it was done, it was like: ‘Oh, my head’s shaved,’” she shared. “I really loved it, I actually miss it. My boyfriend [Danny Fujikawa] used to rub my head and it would put me right to sleep. I’ll never forget that sensation of just falling asleep to him rubbing my head. I’d never felt anything like that before.”

It didn’t take long for Hudson’s hair to return, and while many stars would have opted to forgo the time consuming grow-out process in favor of wigs and extensions, the Fabletics designer has been proudly sporting short styles ever since.

Over the course of the last two years, we’ve watched the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star’s mane evolve from a sandy brown buzz to a blonde pixie and, most recently, a chin-length bob.
