For the sixth time ever and the third year in a row, Taylor Swift took home the title of Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards. This time, however, the star wasn't around to pick up the prize at the show—and she had a really good reason for skipping. 

In 2019, Taylor expressed anger over her former record label, Big Machine Label Group, selling her master recordings to Scooter Braun, who is the manager of Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and a slew of other high-profile artists. Since, she has vowed to rerecord the albums she made with Big Machine...which is exactly what she was doing on Nov. 22, the night of the AMAs. 

Standing in the recording studio against the backdrop of a zodiac tapestry (hmm, a potential Easter egg for Swifties to uncover?!) Taylor, who surprise dropped her latest album Folklore in July 2020 less than a year after her album Lover was released, expressed gratitude over winning the Artist of the Year award.

Ciara got candid about her "painful" third pregnancy. 

Speaking in the press room at the American Music Awards, the "Level Up" singer shared that she discovered she was pregnant with her son 4-month-old son Win shortly before she hosted the 2019 AMAs.

Ciara, who married husband Russell Wilson in 2016, said, "Oh my goodness, it has been an adventure to say the least because I was also pregnant earlier this year. By the way, I learned that I was pregnant this time last year when I was hosting the show. When I went home both Russell and I found out, so a lot of special memories being here. But from a creative perspective, you feel like you have no choice but to be creative because you are in the same four walls every day. And then being pregnant, it felt like time was going really slow."

The mom of three added that it was actually the "slowest pregnancy" she ever experienced, and that while she and her family were searching for ways to "give back" during the coronavirus pandemic, she was also dealing with physical challenges.

It was a big night for Bachelorette star Tayshia Adams—and she didn't have to hand out a single rose!

On Sunday, Nov. 22, the reality star appeared at the 2020 American Music Awards where she was set to present.

Tayshia wore a glamorous long-sleeved blue, gold, and black mini dress. She also rocked long braids for the event, which she teased days before the show on Instagram. "Ya girl got BRAIDS!" she wrote on Nov. 20. "I'm presenting at the @amas this Sunday so I had go for a fun look!!"

The annual awards show, which looks slightly different this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, is still one for the books, with performers like Jennifer Lopez, Billie Eilish, Katy Perry, Megan Thee Stallion, Shawn Mendes and The Weeknd. Plus, Taraji P. Henson hosted the awards ceremony.

While Tayshia may not be a music industry insider, she is pretty important to the fabric of pop culture this year. The former phlebotomist, who is now pursuing a career in interior design, appeared on Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor in 2019, and later appeared on Bachelor in Paradise, where she fell for fan favorite John Paul Jones. While that match wasn't meant to be, Tayshia returned to ABC's dating franchise in November when she took over as the Bachelorette for Clare Crawley. As fans know, Clare exited the show after finding love midway through the season with Dale Moss. 

Tayshia was told about Clare's potential exit before she made the official decision, along with Chris Harrison to follow her heart with Dale. Therefore, Tayshia was able to wait in the wings. Speaking to E! News earlier this month, she opened up about the wild process.

BTS is back at the American Music Awards, and they're having a major fashion moment. The members of the group RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook arrived at the AMAs red carpet wearing matching black and white ensembles, once again making an award show splash. 

The K-Pop band hit the AMAs stage for the first time in 2017, and performed their single "DNA." It was the first time the group performed in the United States and it was met with hundreds of screaming fans in the audience thrilled to see the Korean group's popularity make it to the states. 

The K-Pop band, whose fans are known as ARMY, were nominated for their very first AMAs in 2018, when they took home the prize for Favorite Social Artist. It was the very first year the AMAs honored performers based on their fan support on social media platforms, and came one year after BTS won Top Social Artist at the Billboard Music Awards. The group beat out Cardi B, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and Shawn Mendes for the title.

Kim Kardashian just revealed a major detail about the song "Lost In the World" off husband Kanye West's 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.  

The track, which features Bon Iver, was released two years before Kim and Kanye started dating in 2012, but apparently, Kanye got the lyrics directly from a card he wrote for his then-friend's 30th birthday. 

"Happy 10 year anniversary to Kanye's 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' album," Kim wrote in a Nov. 22 Instagram post. "For those that don't know the story behind 'Lost In The World'...Kanye couldn't come up with some of the lyrics but then realized he had then [sic] in a poem he had written me that was my birthday card he gave me for my 30th birthday. He took the poem he wrote me and made it the song. I keep everything!"

Looking back, it's easy to wonder whether the poem-turned-song-lyrics hinted at Kanye's feelings for Kim, but at the time, the reality star was in a relationship with NBA player Kris Humphries. Kim and Kris got married in a live television event in August 2011, but split 72 days later in October.

Justin Bieber isn't exactly afraid of making his love for his wife Hailey Bieber known, but he shared an extra sweet message with the model in honor of her 24th birthday. 

In an Instagram slideshow featuring photos of Hailey, Justin wrote, "My eyes are 4 you. My heart is 4 you. My soul is 4 you. My love is 4 you. I am Home wherever you are. You are my safe place. I am completely and utterly obsessed with who you are. My biggest dream is growing old with you. I can't believe you are mine forever. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY." 

The slideshow included some glam shots of Hailey, along with sweet photos of the couple hanging out at home. 

Justin and Hailey officially married in September 2018, with a ceremony at a New York City courthouse. They had a lavish second wedding in South Carolina the following September, surrounded by friends like Kendall Jenner, Camila Morrone, and Jaden Smith. Their love story was documented in the YouTube series Justin Bieber: Seasons.

Following her January split from Austin Butler, The Princess Switch star Vanessa Hudgens hinted that she's dating again—though exactly who she's seeing remains a mystery. 

On Nov. 22, the High School Musical alum posted a flirty pic of herself dressed up and holding a pink rose to Instagram. "Date night," she wrote, adding a heart emoji. 

Exactly who Vanessa is seeing for this "date night" is a mystery. Following her breakup with Austin, who she dated for nine years following her high-profile romance with HSM co-star Zac Efron, the actress was spotted with Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma in January. Vanessa, 31, even supported Kyle at his NBA games and shouted out the athlete on social media. It's unclear if the two were ever officially romantically involved, but it's doubtful that the player is who Vanessa is referring to as he's currently dating model Winnie Harlow. 

Whoever Vanessa is seeing, it's likely that it's a new romance. In November, she shared she had to take a pause from dating due to the coronavirus pandemic and restrictions put on place at her job.
