Biles told the “TODAY” show that she is “keeping the door open” for a return to the Paris Olympics in 2024.

Biles, 24, dealt with mental health issues and a case of the “twisties” in Tokyo. She did return on Tuesday to compete in the balance beam finals, winning the bronze medal.

“I think I have to relish and take this Olympics in, and kind of recognize what I’ve done with my career because after 2016, I didn’t get to do that,” she said. “Life just happens so quickly and now I have a greater appreciation for life after everything that’s happened in the last five years.”

“I don’t think you realize how dangerous this is on hard/competitive surface,” Biles wrote after posting then deleting two videos of her attempting a dismount on the uneven bars from that morning.

The “twisties” cause a gymnast to lose a sense of where they are in the air and often leads to dangerous landings.

“Literally cannot tell up from down,” Biles wrote. “It’s the craziest feeling ever. Not having an inch of control over your body. What’s even scarier is since I have no idea where I am in the air I also have NO idea how I’m going land or what I’m going to land on. Head/hand/feet/back.”

Her answers in the Q&A cast serious doubt on whether she will compete again in these Olympics. Biles withdrew from the team competition earlier this week after a shaky and awkward landing off the vault. She then passed on the all-around competition, which was won by fellow American Suni Lee.

“I also have no idea how I landed on my feet on that vault because if you look at the pictures and my eyes you can see how confused I am as to where I am in the air,” Biles wrote.

“Thankfully I landed safe enough but I also don’t think some of you realize I was supposed to do a 2½ and I only completed 1½ twists before it looks like I got shot out of the air.”

Biles qualified in the apparatus finals for the vault, uneven bars, floor exercise and balance beam, which all run early next week. USA Gymnastics said Biles, 24, will continue to be evaluated before deciding if she will be a part of those events.

The team is on the brink of acquiring Cubs slugging first baseman Anthony Rizzo from the Cubs, The Post’s Joel Sherman reported.

Rizzo, 31, is hitting .249 with 14 home runs and 40 RBIs this season and if the deal goes through adds another power lefty bat to the Yankees’ righty-dominated lineup.

The Yankees are sending two prospects to the Cubs for Rizzo — outfielder Kevin Alcantara and pitcher Alexander Vizcaino. Both are in Low-A ball. Vizcaino was the No. 9 prospect in the Yankees system, while Alcantara was No. 12.

The Cubs are picking up the remainder of Rizzo’s contract, which gives the Yankees a few million dollars to play with ahead of Friday’s MLB trade deadline.

Rizzo, a key piece of the Cubs’ 2016 World Series team, is a free agent after this season.

As Dressel was breaking an Olympic record, his wife Meghan was cheering him on wildly from Florida. After Dressel’s triumph, NBC put him on the phone with Meghan, as well as other friends and family from home.

An emotional Dressel struggled to find the words in the made-for-TV moment as Meghan told him, “We love you so much. We are so proud of you.”

The couple met as high school swimmers in Florida and were married in February of this year.

“She mainly did breaststroke but she stopped competing her sophomore year [at Florida State University in Tallahassee], to pursue her dream of becoming a child-family counselor,” Dressel told FINA.

Dressel, 24, was emotional throughout his post-race win.

“I don’t know if it’s set in yet. It’s a really tough year, really hard, so to have the results show up it came together, so I am happy,” Dressel told NBC.

The Cleveland Indians announced Friday they were changing their team name to the Cleveland Guardians.

The new name will go into effect after the 2021 season.

The Indians moniker had come under criticism for being offensive to Native Americans, and the team announced last December that it would be changing to a new name.

The team made the announcement in a two-minute, 11-second video narrated by Tom Hanks.

Washington’s NFL franchise is going through a similar transformation, though it has opted to temporarily play as the Washington Football Team after ditching the Redskins name.

Two of Rodgers’ closest friends on the team showed their support for the quarterback at Packers minicamp on Tuesday as the reigning MVP officially began his holdout amid tension with the franchise.

“I’ve got his back through everything so he knows that, at the end of the day, if there’s ever a wonder if he’s lost a teammate or something because of all that’s come out, he knows where I stand,” star receiver Davante Adams said, according to ESPN.com.

“I’ll stand on the f–king mountain and scream on the mountaintop that I’ve got his back.”

Whether Adams catches another pass from Rodgers, though, remains to be seen. Rodgers has dug in his heels in a dispute that seemingly started with the team’s decision to trade up to draft quarterback Jordan Love last year and continued with the franchise’s initial resistance to giving Rodgers an extension this offseason.

“I’ve definitely voiced to him, I’m like, ‘You know what, whatever happens, look, it’s out of my control [and] the situation is between you and the organization, and that’s where it’s going to stay,’ ” said offensive tackle David Bakhtiari, who is recovering from a torn ACL.

“‘I don’t want to, at all, in any time, get in the middle of that. I respect you as a friend and however that turns out, I’m not going to take anything personally.’ “

Rodgers’ absence on Tuesday was the first official day of his holdout with minicamp being mandatory. The Packers could fine Rodgers up to $93,085 assuming he misses the whole three-day minicamp, though the team could opt to waive the punishment as an olive branch.

Adams and Bakhtiari said that their support of Rodgers has not caused any issues between them and the team.

“I think that any GM, any president, any owner, they should want the type of guys that are backing their players, especially a player like that,” Adams said. “That’s just a good trait to have. It’s not like I’m saying, ‘Forget the front office,’ like I don’t respect what they have going on.”

GM Brian Gutekunst, who appears to be Rodgers’ primary agitator, has maintained the Packers have no intention of trading the franchise star.

“For me, I care about Aaron Rodgers from a friend perspective,” Bakhtiari said. “Whatever he wants to do, whatever the situation that comes out, I will never hold any grudge against him. That is my friend. That is someone that I have appreciated, and he has done a lot for this organization and a lot for me as an individual.

“Now, as a teammate I would be idiotic to say that I don’t want the MVP back. He’s the MVP of the league last year. He’s done amazing things as from the quarterback perspective, our quarterback position, but not only for the franchise. So absolutely.”

Kristaps Porzingis had a disappointing playoffs for the Mavericks, which ended with a 126-111 Game 7 loss to the Clippers on Sunday afternoon. The idea of pairing Porzingis and Luka Doncic together as a European super duo has not panned out as planned in Dallas.

Doncic has certainly done his part with MVP-caliber play, but his ball-dominant style and superstar spotlight has left Porzingis frustrated, according to ESPN.com. The former Knick averaged 13.1 points and 5.4 rebounds in the opening-round series.

He was asked after it was over on Sunday how he fits in with the Mavericks going forward.

“Good question,” the 25-year-old Porzingis said before pausing to collect his thoughts. “How do I feel? I mean, I’m good. I tried to put in the work, tried to work hard. I do my part, listen to the coaches, what I’m asked to do, and that’s it.

“I try to keep it simple for myself, so I’m not overthinking, and I try to focus on what I can control. That’s being a better basketball player, going into the offseason hungry. I want to get better physically [and] on the basketball court. I’m going to put that work in to get better, and then the rest of the stuff will resolve itself.”

The Knicks traded Porzingis in January 2020 to the Mavericks in a deal Dallas was universally celebrated for “winning.” The Knicks most significantly got two first-round draft picks back from the Mavericks in 2021 and 2023. Now, rumors have surfaced that Porzingis could be dealt again this offseason.

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban hinted at a disconnect between Doncic and Porzingis last month, saying the duo had “dust-ups.” Porzingis denied any friction, though ESPN noted veiled comments about ball movement that the forward had made near the end of the regular season.

“And whatever I do, it seems like it’s always something,” Porzingis said Sunday of the scrutiny around his game. “I just try to be as professional as I can.”

The Knicks banned a fan after video showed him spitting on the Hawks star during Game 2 of the teams’ playoff series on Wednesday night.

“We investigated the matter and determined that this patron, who is not a season ticket holder, did indeed spit on Trae Young, and for that reason, he is now banned from The Garden indefinitely,” the team said in a statement. “We apologize to Trae and the entire Atlanta Hawks organization for this fan’s behavior. This was completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated in our venue. We have turned the information over to the appropriate authorities.”

Young brought attention to the situation after video started circulating on Twitter. The guard tweeted at rapper 50 Cent, who was sitting in the vicinity of the loogie. The saliva, though, seemed to hit fitness influencer and model Cuban Link, who was sitting next to 50 Cent.

The Garden crowd has been chanting “F–k Trae Young” consistently throughout the first two games of the series, which now heads to Atlanta even at 1-1 after the Knicks’ 101-92 Game 2 triumph.

The two top American golfers have a long-running feud that was highlighted again in a leaked interview from last week’s PGA Championship. In the Golf Channel standup, Koepka is answering questions about the conditions at Kiawah Island when DeChambeau walks behind him.

“I didn’t putt well but I don’t think any of the guys are going to putt well with this wind,” Koepka said. “It’s very tough, I don’t know what other guys said. I just find it difficult to read. Just sometimes…”

At this point DeChambeau walks in the shot and it appears he might be saying, “Just gotta start it on the right line,” though the audio is not perfectly clear.

Whatever is muttered upsets Koepka greatly.

“Christ. I f—kin lost my train of thought hearing that bulls—t. F—kin Christ,” Koepka said before they begin re-shooting the question.

Koepka’s disdain was first noted in 2019 when he publicly ripped DeChambeau for his slow play on the course. A year later, DeChambeau mocked Koepka because “he didn’t have any abs” when appearing in ESPN’s Body Issue.

After DeChambeau muscled up during the pandemic last year and focused his obsession on swing speed and distance, he joined Koepka as one of the top players in the sport.

Later, when DeChambeau got into a spat with a CBS cameraman, Koepka mocked him with a Kenny Powers tweet that suggested he was on steroids.

“There are times where it’s like, ‘O.K., dude, it’s too far,’” DeChambeau told Sports Illustrated in October. “I’ve gone up to him a couple of times and tried to talk to him. And there have been times where, you know, I was gonna go talk to him when he said something, and I’m just like, ‘You know, it’s not even worth it. It’s not even worth my time to try and create something.’”

Koepka finished tied for second at the PGA Championship, while DeChambeau finished tied for 38th after he struggled with a final round 77.

Daly opened up the PGA Championship on Thursday by holing out from the bunker for birdie to move him temporarily to the top of the leaderboard at 1-under par.

The 55-year-old made headlines when he arrived at the brutal Kiawah Island course for his bushy beard. The long South Carolina course, being played under windy conditions this week, is expected to take its toll on the field.

Daly felt that on the third hole when the made a double bogey. Daly has an exemption into the major thanks to his stunning victory in the event in 1991.

Daly primarily plays on the Champions Tour now.

McElroy was the other Jets quarterback in the ill-fated 2012 season after the team acquired Tebow from the Broncos. He thinks the Jaguars giving him a chance is a “stupid move.”

“[The Jets] tried switching him to tight end, and he wasn’t good,” McElroy said last week while hosting on Sirius XM.

The Jaguars now appear set to try the same thing nine years later after Tebow tried out for the team and Urban Meyer, whom he played under at the University of Florida. There were reports that Tebow was going to sign with the Jaguars and Meyer hinted an official decision would be made this week.

Tebow was brought into the Jets and it was billed as a quarterback competition with Mark Sanchez. Instead, Tebow was used as a punt protector. When Sanchez got hurt late in the season, it was McElroy who played at quarterback instead of Tebow.

There are few who expect this Tebow plan to work out and McElroy — now an analyst for SiriusXM and ESPN — knows better than most.

“Tim ran a 4.8 (40-yard dash), Taysom Hill runs a 4.4,” McElroy said. “They’re just two totally different players. Tim is a good dude and I hope the best for him. But it’s a sideshow, and that’s what it will be come training camp time.

“And I think it kind of undermines what Urban Meyer is trying to build. Maybe he makes the team, maybe he doesn’t, I don’t know. But it’s going to take away from the task at hand, which is trying to put together the most competitive roster in camp. 

“And I bet you there’s going to be players, as someone who went to training camp with Tim, there are going to be players who are rolling their eyes at the amount of attention the fourth-string, fifth-string tight end gets, and it’s going to piss people off. As a result, it’s going to affect locker room chemistry, just like it did for us with the Jets. Not because anyone had any animosity toward Tim, they just have animosity with the coverage Tim receives. So, I think it’s a stupid move.”

Philadelphia’s mediocre start to the season continued on Sunday with a 10-8 loss to the Blue Jays, though what happened in the dugout was more intriguing than the on-field struggles. Manager Joe Girardi had a disagreement with Jean Segura after the second baseman made a costly error in the bottom of the seventh inning — his second of the game.

Girardi was peppered with questions about the incident after the game, but divulged little.

“That’s a bench conversation, meant for the bench,” Girardi said. “You can ask all you want; you got everything you’re going to get about it. I’m done with it.”

Girardi was shown by television cameras saying something to Segura as he walked away. Segura then had to be restrained by bench coach Dusty Wathan.

“You can ask all you want … I know you’re doing your job, but that’s it,” Girardi said.

“Next question,” Girardi responded to another inquiry. “I’m not going to talk about it. Next question. You got a baseball question? Ask me a baseball question.”

The Phillies lost Scott Kingery in the game after the outfielder ran into the wall and felt dizzy afterward. At 21-20, the Phillies are in second place behind the Mets in the disappointing NL East.

Girardi is now 49-52 in Philadelphia after taking over the franchise before the coronavirus-shortened 2020 season.

Jarred Kelenic went 0-for-4 in his much-hyped debut on Thursday night in the Mariners’ 4-2 loss to the Indians. In fairness, not many of the Mariners were able to get much done against Indians starter Zach Plesac, who took a no-hitter into the eighth inning.

“Players, sometimes they hit the ground running, and sometimes they don’t. The major leagues are difficult,” Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto said as Kelenic debuted alongside Logan Gilbert, the franchise’s top pitching prospect.

“But there’s never any more excitement than with the anticipation of the arrival of talented young players like these and we’re excited to see what happens across the board. It’s gonna be a fun time for us.”

Kelenic led off and started in left field. His first at-bat ended when Indians outfielder Josh Naylor reached into the stands to corral a foul ball.

Kelenic’s debut comes two-and-a-half years after the Mets traded him and Justin Dunn to Seattle for Robinson Cano and Edwin Diaz. The move has the potential to be among the worst in the Mets’ history as Kelenic — the Mets’ third-ranked prospect at the time — developed into one of the most prized players in baseball.

“I laughed out loud when he had a homer in his first Triple-A at-bat off a lefty, because that’s about as appropriate to how Jared Kelenic accepts challenges as you can imagine,” Dipoto said Thursday. “And I’m sure he’s going to be up for this next one, which is facing the best pitchers in the world night after night.”

Before the game, Kelenic said some of his nerves were eased because Gilbert was debuting on the same night.

“To be able to start this journey in the big leagues with someone that you started the journey with in the minor leagues makes this transition a little bit easier,” Kelenic said. “I was just talking with him in the clubhouse and as excited as I am to get going with my major league career I’m just as excited for him.”

Tom Brady said during the NFL’s Draft-a-Thon that he would trade Super Bowl rings for the one undefeated season that was spoiled by Manning and the Giants.

“I would, let’s be real,” the seven-time Super Bowl champion said when asked about the hypothetical on the draft-night Zoom call with other players and celebrities.

When NBC Sports tweeted out the quote, Manning responded “never.”

“Never” also sums up the chances many gave the Giants heading into that Super Bowl XLII matchup. Those 18-0 Patriots had the MVP Brady at his peak with Randy Moss at his disposal, and were routinely decimating opponents.

The Giants were a wild-card team, coming off three road upsets of the Buccaneers, Cowboys and Packers. But the Giants defense was able to pressure Brady that entire February 2008 night and Manning led the team to a game-winning touchdown drive in the final minutes — thank you, helmet catch — for the 17-14 shocker.

Manning and the Giants would deny Brady again four years later, defeating New England 21-17 in Super Bowl XLVI.

The star quarterback instead is taking in the Kentucky Derby with fiancee Shailene Woodley, Packers offensive tackle David Bakhtiari and actor Miles Teller, among others. Bakhtari’s fiancee, Frankie Shebby, posted the group photo to Instagram on Saturday morning.

It comes as Rodgers is trying to force his way off the Packers over lingering frustration with their decision to draft his heir apparent, Jordan Love, a year ago.

The Packers have maintained they have no intention of trading Rodgers, who has told members of the organization and teammates that he does not plan on returning to Green Bay. NFL Network reported Rodgers would consider retirement if the Packers refuse to trade him.

“I certainly look back to last year’s draft and just kind of maybe some of the communication issues we could have done better,” GM Brian Gutekunst said this week of the decision to trade up and select Love.

“There’s no doubt about it. The draft’s an interesting thing. It can kind of unfold differently than you think it’s going to unfold, and it happens pretty fast. But certainly, I think, looking back on it sitting where we sit today, there could have been some communication things we did better.”

The 37-year-old Rodgers has not publicly about the situation. He clearly has more important things on his schedule.

The 49ers quarterback reportedly took offense to Kyle Shanahan’s press conference this week when the head coach was asked if he could guarantee Garoppolo would be on the roster after the 2021 NFL Draft.

“I can’t guarantee that anybody in the world will be alive on Sunday, so I can’t guarantee who will be on our roster on Sunday,” Shanahan said.

Garoppolo’s future with the franchise is tenuous at best as they are expected to use the No. 3 overall pick on their quarterback of the future. After weeks of speculation that this would be the case, following the 49ers trade up in the draft, the comments appear to have pushed Garoppolo over the edge.

“What’s the deal with Jimmy Garoppolo? Here’s what I know: Garoppolo and his camp were not happy after the latest Kyle Shanahan press conference, and they have been allowed to work out a contract with other teams,” Boston Sports Journal’s Greg Bedard wrote this week.

“The biggest sticking point — and there is some competition for Garoppolo — is the trade compensation. The 49ers refuse to face the reality they have lost their leverage.”

Garoppolo has been linked to his former team the Patriots, but there should be much more clarity after the first round of the draft.

With rumors of discontent stemming from the Packers’ decision to draft quarterback Jordan Love a year ago, Fox Sports Jay Glazer reports that several teams reached out to the Packers about trading for Rodgers.

That, according to NFL Network, includes the 49ers, who have the No. 3 pick on Thursday night in NFL Draft 2021. An earlier report from a Wisconsin radio host suggested the talks focused around that No. 3 pick and Jimmy Garoppolo, the 49ers’ current quarterback.

According to the report, no formal offer was made and there is a “zero percent chance” the Packers trade Rodgers.

“Aaron’s our guy,” Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said Monday in his pre-draft press conference. “He’s going to be our quarterback for the foreseeable future. We’re excited about kind of the things we’re going to try to accomplish here over the next couple years.”

That’s all well and good, but Green Bay raised plenty of eyebrows when they traded up to draft Love in the first round last year. Rodgers publicly questioned his future with the franchise after losing in the NFC Championship Game and opposing teams obviously sensed an opportunity to capitalize.

“A lot of guys’ futures [are] uncertain, myself included,” Rodgers said at the time.

The Packers, at least for now, seem unwilling to part with the 37-year-old reigning MVP.

Exhale, Giants fans, it is his other old NFC East home. The Dolphins traded Flowers to the Washington Football Team on Tuesday, NFL Network reported. The offensive lineman previously played all 16 games for Washington in 2019.

The now 27-year-old was a massive draft bust for the Giants after being taken with the ninth pick of the 2015 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-6, 330 pounder struggled at both tackle positions for the Giants, and also had attitude issues.

The Giants released Flowers early in the 2018 season after he was benched for Chad Wheeler.

Since that time, though, Flowers has at least carved out a respectable NFL career with the Jaguars, Washington and Dolphins.

The move, according to NFL Network, frees up some money for the Dolphins, while giving Washington another potential starter on the offensive line. Flowers is in the second year of a three-year, $30 million deal he signed with the Dolphins before last season.

Porzingis shot 3-for-14 from the floor and got into a shoving match with Kings forward Moe Harkless in the Mavericks’ 121-107 loss on Sunday.

With Sacramento leading Dallas 71-54 in the the third quarter, Harkless and Porzingis exchanged words before going nose to nose. Porzingis then pushed a smiling Harkless. Both players were assessed technical fouls.

It was an ugly loss for the Mavericks, who are fighting to get out of the play-in portion of the postseason. Dallas sits as the seventh seed — two games behind the Blazers — with the top six teams in each conference guaranteed a playoff berth. The Kings had lost nine games in a row before Sunday night’s surprising rout.

Like Porzingis, Harkless spent time with the Knicks. He was acquired at last season’s trade deadline from the Clippers as part of the Marcus Morris deal.

Much of the speculation surrounding the 49ers’ pivotal No. 3 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft has revolved around Alabama’s Mac Jones and Ohio State’s Justin Fields. However, Lance remains an option for San Francisco as the North Dakota State star has his second pro day on Monday.

“The 49ers will be in attendance and I am told that Trey Lance can absolutely sway their decision on the No. 3 pick with a big performance.,” ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler said on “SportsCenter” on Sunday. “The 49ers are entering this with an open mind, a broad approach to all those quarterbacks.”

Fowler reported that the 49ers, who traded up from No. 12 to No. 3 earlier this month, have organizational meetings scheduled after they attend Lance’s workout. Those meetings will be used to determine which quarterback they will take on April 29.

All indications are that the Jaguars will take Trevor Lawrence at No. 1 and the Jets will follow by selecting Zach Wilson. That’s where the true intrigue begins — and it goes beyond the 49ers.

The Falcons pick at No. 4 and will also be well represented at Lance’s pro day with three scouts attending. Most have seen the Falcons as a prime trade candidate with Matt Ryan still entrenched as the starting quarterback.

Fowler said that the Falcons remain “open to all options,” including drafting a quarterback in that spot. But Fowler did note that the Broncos are emerging as a potential trade candidate if Atlanta decides to deal the pick.
