The actress has been a blonde bombshell since she first hit the scene in the early aughts. And while she’s gone through many stages, from girl next door to mother of three, she’s always known how to rock a sexy swimsuit.

One of her most memorable bikini moments went down in 2005, when she graced the cover of GQ donning an American flag bikini with a striped top and star-covered bottoms. 

Bikini pictures continued to flow in the years that followed, but after welcoming daughter Maxwell Johnson in 2012, body-shamers were constantly criticizing the actress. 

“I’m not a supermodel!” Simpson told USA Today that same year. “My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel. I’m just your everyday woman who is trying to feel good and be healthy for her daughter, her fiancé and herself … I feel like everybody can do what I am doing.”

While Simpson has had her highs and lows when it came to self-image, being a mom has changed her outlook for the better. She prioritizes health above all else. 

“Raising Maxwell makes me realize that I don’t want her to see me beat myself up for things like food choices or numbers on a scale. I don’t want her to learn anything like that from me,” she wrote via Parents’ GoodyBlog in October 2013. “Those things don’t determine who we are and instead make us feel terrible about ourselves. I want to teach her to value herself, listen to herself and tune out the world. I want her to know her value, rather than spending her energy fighting negative voices from within.

As one half of the folk rock duo Sonny and Cher, the Goddess of Pop rose to fame in the late ‘60s, quickly establishing a strong sense of style that showed she wasn’t afraid of taking risks (or showing a little skin). And in the ’70s, she really hit her fashion stride, carving out a unique vibe that still informs her outfits today.

Probably his most memorable of recent was the 2019 Academy Awards when he shut it down in a custom tuxedo ball gown created by Christian Siriano. The velvet piece was simply stunning and celebrated by the masses.

One of our favorites, though, was the pink and red number he wore to the 2019 Tony Awards. The satin and tulle outfit featured 30,000 Swarovski crystals as well as recycled fabric from a curtain backdrop from Broadway’s Kinky Boots, for which he won a Best Actor Tony in 2013. That detail made the ensemble not just gorgeous, but nostalgic and sustainable, to boot!

The Grammy Award-winning rapper is known for being brave and bold when it comes to just about everything, including her hairstyles. Whether she’s attending an awards show or simply striking a pose in an Instagram post, she likes to play around with different looks.

A lot of these styles are achieved through wigs, some of which are seriously epic. For instance, the 27-year-old wore a crimped red one that was almost seven feet long when dressing up as Poison Ivy for Halloween in 2019.

But as much as she loves to play it up and go full glam, she also doesn’t shy away from showing off her natural hair, either. On Friday, March 13, the “I Like It” singer took to her Instagram Story to show off her voluminous curls. “Look at my hair. This is dead-ass my f–cking real hair,” she says in a video, wearing a cozy robe with the shower running in the background. And she loves it! Before she hops in the shower, though, she says, “Wow, I’m so proud of myself.”

When it comes to embracing this natural texture, she has a DIY hair mask that she says “is really good for curl patterns” like hers and her daughter Kulture’s. Back in June, she shared her super simple recipe via Instagram Story, which includes avocados, argan oil, mayonnaise, honey, castor oil, raw eggs and a banana blended together.

In the overall history of nail polish, men have embraced this beauty trend as far back as 3.200 B.C. according to Nails Magazine, with colors representing different classes. However, for a few generations now it’s been considered taboo in the mainstream sense. That is, until now.

As gender norms continue to crumble, men are expressing their sense of style and beauty through bright, fresh manis.

There are a few stars who have only worn the look once or twice like OGs Depp and Brad Pitt, but others are fully taking it on as their own. Most notably, British pop star Styles.

The former One Direction band member has stepped out time and time again with some sort of new — and trendy — designs. He’s worn everything from single hues to tonal manicures to actual standout nail art. While promoting his 2019 album Fine Lines, he showcased bright-yellow smiley faces in a video. Though there are lots to choose from, we nailed it down to 21 key looks that essentially sum up the event’s sense of style: glamorous, fun and absolutely fabulous. Not to mention, reflect the ever-changing trends in Hollywood.

Kicking things off in 1998, Minnie Driver attended the 4th annual affair in a look that is so ‘90s we could just scream. Complete with a shimmery slip minidress and plastic heels, we actually kind of love it for what it is! It’s nice and nostalgic.

From there, the gowns mostly reached the floor, delivering a bit of glam through intricate details. Whether that be beautiful beadings, like Debra Messing’s statuesque number in 2008, or stunning drapings, like Lucy Liu’s teal gown in 2000, or even a bit of knotted accents, such as Brie Larson’s powder blue look in 2016.

However, others just stand the test of time thanks to their flawless fit and silhouette. Evan Rachel Wood wore a dark teal Monique Lhuillier in 2009 that is simple yet anything but boring. And in 2014 Lupita Nyong’o stole the show in a nearly neon blue Gucci that flower embellished neckline was a real thing of beauty.

One of the biggest standouts of them all, though, might just be Kate Hudson’s in 2010. After all, who could forget that backless white Emilio Pucci gown?

Not all of the best looks are dresses. There were a couple of jumpsuit ensembles that we could never overlook, including Rose Byrne’s Elie Saab in 2012 and Yara Shahidi’s Ralph Lauren look with a train in 2018!

The vice president set the style bar high right off the bat at the inauguration, proving she’s bound to be a force in fashion as well as in Washington. For the January 20, 2021 ceremony, she wore a purple ensemble from Christopher John Rogers. The California-native accessorized her violet ensemble with her signature pearls.

For the evening celebration after the inauguration, Harris wore sleek black coat by Sergio Hudson. Underneath, she wore a sequin cocktail dress and Neuwrith earrings. And the prior, she wore a sleek nude coat by Kerby Jean-Raymod of Pyer Moss.

Over the course of the entire weekend, Harris made a point to wear clothing from Black Americans and small businesses with an eye for sustainability.

No surprise here! Google revealed that Jennifer Lopez’s Versace dress is the most searched Grammys celebrity fashion look since 2004. But that’s not all! There are actually nine other stars included on the list that people seem to be curious about and some may shock you.

With the 2021 Grammy Awards happening this Sunday, March 14, we’re taking a moment to reminisce on past style stars from the unforgettable to the unexplainable.

At number two is Joy Villa, who, for the past few years, has consistently worn controversial ensembles that express her conservative and Republican beliefs.

In 2017, she walked the red carpet in a blue dress that had Donald Trump’s slogan “Make America Great Again” printed down the side. In 2018, she wore a pro-life gown with a hand-painted image of a fetus on the skirt. She continued this trend in 2019 in a white dress that featured a brick wall print that read “build the wall” on the back, and again in 2020 with a “Trump 2020” red latex gown.

She told the Hollywood Reporter in February 2019 that she uses the red carpet platform as a way to “wow” people. “My heroes on the red carpet have always been Cher, Madonna, the wild ones; the worst dressed. Or Lady Gaga with the meat dress. Who even talks about the best dressed? No one even remembers who was best-dressed last year!”

And surprisingly, none of those artists were most searched!

Some of the people we didn’t expect to see on the list include number three’s Whoopi Goldberg, Teri Hatcher at number four, Gwyneth Paltrow at five and Kate Winslet in the ninth spot. Who even knew Rose from Titanic had a Grammy Award!

From Hilary Duff to Charlize Theron, celebs have found that playing with makeup is a great way to bond with their kids, especially during the COVID-19 quarantine. With the kids being forced to stay home from school and stars not heading off to work every day, what better way to pass time than with a little makeup sesh?!

Duff took to her Instagram Story on April 8 to share the full process of her 8-year-old son Luca Cruz Comrie doing her makeup. When the 33-year-old asked her little boy what the vibe of the look was going to be, he replied, “I’m not telling you.” But when showcasing the finished product, Duff sarcastically called it subtle. “It’s unique,” she continued. “I’ve never done makeup like this before, but I like it.”

Probably our favorite of the quarantine makeovers, though, was Jimmy Kimmel’s. In honor of Bring Your Kid to Work Day, the late night host let his 5-year-old daughter Jane do his makeup for Jimmy Kimmel Live on April 23. Wearing a princess dress and crown, the little girl worked away on her dad, giving him bright red lips and lined eyes. He joked, “Who knew my color palette was Jolly Rancher.”

But not all of these makeup sessions happened during the coronavirus pandemic. After all, Kylie Jenner has been giving Stormi her Lip Kits to play with forever. Even if she isn’t quite as good as her mom at applying lipstick.

Taking note! Candace Cameron Bure spilled her winter skincare tips for a youthful, glowing complexion.

“I honestly never thought that my skin would be better in my 40s than it was in my 20s or 30s,” she said during a roundtable discussion with her go-to skincare pro, Dr. Lancer, to promote their upcoming QVC special. “But the truth is it is. I get more compliments now that I look younger than in my 30s.”

So how exactly did she do it? With the help of Dr. Lancer and his Lancer method.

“With a strict program and proper skin maintenance, the clock can go backwards,” Dr. Lancer said. “You can teach skin to repair itself.”

The Full House alum explained that she spent nearly a decade in Florida enjoying the sun. But unfortunately, as much as she loved feeling the rays on her face, it left her with some sun spots. “It did a lot of damage to my skin, especially with dark spots and uneven tone.” When she went back to work to film a T.V. show, she just had to get it check out. That’s when Dr. Lancer came in and saved the day.

On Friday, January 22, the brand launched its Coach Conversations YouTube series with a 19-minute discussion between J. Lo and former monk-turned-purpose coach Jay Shetty. Titled “What’s Your Calling?,” the duo talks about everything from purpose to therapy to self-love.

“There is so much pressure around finding your purpose, and I do think you have to listen to yourself, and the words you tell yourself,” Lopez says. “What you say becomes your reality. When something really speaks to you — a mission, a calling, a purpose — you need to trust that you’re the right person to manifest that.”

In a press release, Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers explained the importance of the new web series. “Coach Conversations is about building a two-way dialogue,” Vevers said. “It features authentic and inspiring conversations with our Coach Family and friends, and it celebrates something I’ve always believed about fashion: that it should be about community.”

The second episode will launch in February and feature fellow Coach ambassador Michael B. Jordan alongside Grammy-nominated artist Corda. Coinciding with Black History Month, the pair will discuss Black creatives.

“I’m proud to be part of Coach Conversations and this necessary discourse about the experiences of Black creatives,” the Black Panther star said in the press release. “Leaning into our communities and supporting each other is so crucial, and I am grateful for this opportunity to talk about the importance of creating constructive impact for the next generation to takeoff with.”

New videos will launch each month to commemorate an important moment, from Pride month to International Women’s Day and many more.

The Hustlers star celebrated the launch of the series sharing a clip on Instagram. “I’m so excited to be part of the first episode of #CoachConversations … a new monthly YouTube series from @Coach. I had a great time talking with @JayShetty about purpose,” she wrote.

“Your energy was the best! Thank you for sharing these insights with me 🙏🙌🙌,” Shetty commented.

In November 2019, Coach announced the “Let’s Get Loud” singer as their newest global brand ambassador. “It is a timeless brand that I’ve always been a fan of and the upcoming collection really speaks to my personal style — an uptown downtown mix,” Lopez said in a statement at the time.

Since then, she’s starred in multiple campaigns and even created a new iconic bag.

Kate Middleton’s hair is longer than ever!

On Friday, January 22, the official Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Instagram account shared a video of the duchess talking with frontline workers about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In the clip, the 39-year-old stuns in a white silk blouse with a fitted black blazer and a new ‘do.

Like many of Us, it appears that the royal hasn’t been able to get her hair trimmed amid the new U.K. coronavirus lockdown laws. She wears her lengthy strands in a slight side-part with the straight, sleek style curled under a little bit at the ends to accentuate the grown-out layers.

In the clip, the British beauty listens to healthcare workers’ stories and acknowledges all of their impressive, hard work.

“Nurses up and down the country are going that extra mile, at a time when patients need it the most,” the accompanying Instagram caption reads. “These acts of courage, strength and kindness matter so much right now and we owe you a huge thank you for all that you have done and continue to do throughout these difficult times.”

Though this new hairstyle isn’t a huge difference to Middleton’s signature blowout, we’re used to seeing her shiny dark strands more wavy.

In July 2020, she made an appearance on the BBC Breakfast show with her hair highlighted a lighter hue for the summer months. She also seemed to have gotten a little snip, showing off her face-framing layers with an exaggerated ‘70s flip and a center part.

This was the first big change the duchess made since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak at the start of 2020. However, in May, a royal insider told The Sun that she had “a little trim” while self-isolating. This clean-up session was done by none other than royal nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo.

Typically, she visits royal hairstylist Richard Ward. Being unable to visit the salon, though, he gave her the tools she needed to maintain her coloring at home.

“Kate does use a home color on it from Richard,” the source told the British outlet. “She would normally be given products from his salon between her appointments with him. But for this lockdown ‘the package was rather larger than usual.’”

The kit also included the necessary supplies for Kate to cut all the kids hair at home. “Kate is able to trim all the children’s hair because she has this professional kit at home,” the source continued. “Including scissors, from Richard.”

Now that’s one way to pass the time! Ricky Martin dyed his facial hair and the reason is so relatable.

On Thursday, January 21, the 49-year-old posted a selfie to Instagram rocking a bleach blonde beard. “When bored, bleach,” he wrote in the accompanying caption.

Fans flooded the comments praising the Puerto Rican performer on his new bold appearance. Photographer Jeremy Kost teased, “Blondes have more fun.” And model Yaya Kosikova Oliver had a styling suggestion. “I would bleach the hair too! Would suit you even more! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻”

Meanwhile, Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson joked, “This is what my beard looks like when I DON’T dye it.”

The “Livin’ la Vida Loca” singer isn’t the only star to play around with their appearance when bored. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. One of our favorite major transformations was Blake Shelton bringing back his mullet.

Back in March 2020, the country star, 43, shared via Twitter that he was bringing back his ‘90s hairstyle with the help of his now-fiancée Gwen Stefani.

“I have an announcement. With basically EVERYTHING I had scheduled being canceled for the foreseeable further @gwenstefani and I have made a decision together,” he wrote to his fans on Twitter. “I am growing my mullet back as a symbol of hope or some shit like that.. Anyway it’s coming back! For real. Stay tuned…”

A few weeks later, he posted an update via Twitter. “Quarantine mullet update 3/26/2020,” he wrote in the Tweet. “@gwenstefani has decided to take it to the next level.. Stripes.” In the accompanying pic, The Voice judges’ has buzzed sides with three lines and a bit of gray.

He later revealed during an appearance on the Ellen Degeneres Show that after seeing this picture, he decided to buy a box of Just For Men hair dye.

“I said, ‘Oh, God, when did this happen to me?’” he recalled “I was like, ‘Oh, my God, it’s completely white! How have I not noticed this? I’m on television all the time. I’m on a show,” The Voice judge shared. “How did I not see that I look like a game show host all the sudden?’”

So sneaky. Zayn Malik secretly had a tattoo of his and Gigi Hadid’s daughter’s name all along!

On Thursday, January 21, the model, 25, revealed her little girl’s name when updating her Instagram profile to read “khai’s mom.” However, some eagle-eyed fans pointed out that the former One Direction member, 27, has previously been spotted with a tattoo of the name on his wrist.

A Twitter user shared a screengrab of Malik with his hand behind his head, zooming in the wrist to reveal a very blurry pic of the ink. Fellow fans continued to buzz about the design on social media. “Zayn has his daughter’s name tattoo on his arm,” one person wrote. “And he also said in the live that he’s gonna show us his new tattoo next time MAYBE He will show us now the ‘خایی (Khai)’ tattoo.”

Another Twitter user pointed out that, “Khai in Arabic means ‘the crowned one’ or ‘royalty.’”

The “PillowTalk” singer announced his and Hadid’s baby’s arrival in a heartwarming tweet on September 23, 2020. “Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful. To try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task,” he wrote alongside a black-and-white picture of him holding the newborn’s tiny hand. “The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine and thankful for the life we will have together.”

Meanwhile, Hadid shared her own post on Instagram, writing, “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love.”

Us Weekly confirmed that the couple was expecting their first child in April. “Gigi has been telling her close friends and family about her pregnancy news and was trying to keep it low-key,” a source exclusively told Us at the time. “She has been so grateful for all the well-wishes and congratulations she’s received. She’s so excited to be a mom and so happy to be pregnant and to be embarking on this new journey of motherhood, especially with Zayn by her side.”

Malik isn’t the only young celebrity parent who has gotten a tattoo in honor of their baby. Sophie Turner debuted a super chic tattoo for her daughter Willa in November 2020. When showing off her T-shirt in an Instagram Story, she held her hands up to reveal a “W.” The sleek little letter actually sits underneath a “J,” which she got to commemorate her husband, and Willa’s dad, Joe Jonas.

Too funny! Kaley Cuoco is not a fan of her husband Karl Cook’s new haircut.

On Thursday, January 21, the actress, 35, shared a picture of her hubby kissing her on the cheek as she sports a very concerned look. The reason for this worried glare? Cook’s new mullet chop.

“I don’t remember saying ‘in sickness and health oh and mullets,’” she hilariously wrote in the accompanying caption.

Fans flooded the comments joking and laughing at the ‘do, including family friend Mavis Spencer. “Saw @mrtankcook and when I asked how he was doing he said ‘still married’ and took his helmet off for a second…,” she commented. “You are a GOOD WOMAN!! 🤦🏽‍♀️”

Meanwhile, Young Sheldon actress Annie Potts has a solution. “Cut it whilst he sleeps dear… 😘”

The mullet made a big comeback in 2020. It wasn’t just guys like Blake Shelton and Brooks Laich who debuted the look last year, but female A-listers such as Rihanna and Miley Cyrus also rocked a choppy party-in-the-back style.

In fact, the former Disney Channel star revealed she always knew the mullet would be trendy again. In May Cyrus posted an old video on Instagram of herself talking to a reporter about it. Even though she has her long wavy Hannah Montana hair, she told the journalist, “You know what, it’s kind of, like, getting in again. Like if it’s edgy and spiky, it’s actually kind of cool. I think it’s actually starting to come back.”

She wrote in the caption, “The mullet is officially back when ‘08 Miley says so….. perioTTTTT.” So there you have it! Even if the Big Bang Theory star doesn’t like her husband’s strands, Cyrus says it’s cool and always will be.

Another celeb known for sporting a mullet hairstyle is Billie Eilish. However, hers came to be totally by mistake.

When attending the LACMA Art + Film Gala in November 2020, the “Bad Guy” singer showed off a mullet version of her rooty green hair. When a TMZ reporter asked her about it later she responded, “You know what happened? Somebody dyed my hair and they burnt half of it off and now it looks like a mullet. That s–t is not on purpose though.”

We have to admit, we were kinda disappointed to hear it was a mishap. After all, the edgy style totally works with her overall aesthetic. But hey, to each their own!

LOL! Garth Brooks had a little help with his inauguration look thanks to Lady Gaga’s glam squad.

On Wednesday, January 20, Brooks and Gaga performed at the 2021 presidential inauguration for 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden, and Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris. For the occasion, the “Rain on Me” singer, 34, dazzled in a custom Schiaparelli couture gown while the country star, 58, wore his signature jeans, cowboy boots and cowboy hat.

After the ceremony, the “Standing Outside the Fire” singer took to Twitter to congratulate the pop star on her rendition of the national anthem. “@ladygaga You were fabulous today and everyday,” he wrote. “A national treasure.”

He also told her to thank her longtime makeup artist, Sarah Tanno, and hairstylist, Frederic Aspiras, for helping him get camera-ready. “Please tell Frederic and Miss Sarah thank you for me! They saved a cowboy today,” he continued. “Oh, and tell Miss Sarah to hug her momma for me! love, g.” Talk about an unlikely duo!

Gaga also took to Twitter after the inauguration ceremony to comment on her head-turning look. She noted that the giant gold bird on her perfectly tailored navy cashmere jacket is a peace dove. “A dove carrying an olive branch,” she explained. “May we all make peace with each other.”

However, people were quick to link her appearance to Katniss Everdeen’s mockingjay pin from the Hunger Games. “Lady Gaga looks like she stepped out of the Hunger Games,” one fan tweeted. “Lady Gaga now being escorted to the podium to draw names for this year’s Hunger Games,” another wrote.

Even CNN correspondent Omar Jimenez made a joke about the Oscar winner’s outfit. “If Lady Gaga didn’t have such an amazing voice I would think she’s introducing the Hunger Games,” he wrote.

Designed by Daniel Roseberry, the Schiaparelli Haute Couture number featured a dark blue fitted jacket with a washed red silk faille skirt and a gilded dove of peace brooch. Roseberry was overjoyed to create this look for such a monumental occasion.

“As an American living in Paris, this ensemble is a love letter to the country I miss so dearly and to a performer whose artistry I have so long admired,” Roseberry said in a statement per Harper’s Bazaar.

On Tuesday, January 19, Kylie and a group of friends were spotted boarding a private jet in Los Angeles. Just a few hours later, the Lip Kit creator started sharing a series of seriously sexy bikini snaps that even her big sister Khloé couldn’t help but admire. 

The 23-year-old posted lots of pictures of herself rocking an itty-bitty bikini in multiple Instagrams. The first post she captioned, “sol solecito calientame un poquito,” which translates to “sun, little sun, warm me up a little bit,” per Google translator. Apparently, this is a reference to a Mexican nursery rhyme.

Khloé took to the comments to praise the whole thing, writing, “I literally don’t think I can handle this.” We don’t blame her! Between the silver body chain, Kylie’s crazy long hair that reaches to her knees and the picturesque sunset backdrop, the whole thing is all kinds of #goals.

Kendall, 25, also shared a series of editorial-worthy pictures on Wednesday, January 20. She showed off her thin model frame in a string bikini which she accessorized with an orange fedora. The warm hues of her look matched perfectly with the yellow decor and the bright blue pool.

Khloé also loved these. “You are paradise,” she commented. “No matter where you go paradise follows.”

Meanwhile their mom Kris liked the fashion. “Cute hat!!!!!,” the momager commented. “Insane,” fellow supermodel Gigi Hadid wrote.

But it’s not just the Jenner’s who are slaying in swimsuits on this trip. Kylie’s BFF Anastasia “Stassie” Karanikolaou also took advantage of the warm weather and beautiful scenery, posing in all kinds of chic two-pieces. A favorite is a simple black number from Fashion Nova. And, once again, Khloé hyped her up in the comments, writing, “Ummmmmm Does someone want to explain to me what is going on? The sexiness is at an all-time high.”

We all make mistakes sometimes! Bachelor Nation’s Desiree Hartsock told Us there’s one look she wore as the bachelorette that she seriously regrets. .

“On The Bachelorette you have a stylist,” the season 9 Bachelorette said on Us Weekly’s “Here for the Right Reasons” podcast earlier this week. ”So I just let him dress me. For the most part, I loved everything.” But not necessarily everything.

Though she tried everything on beforehand, she didn’t know what the dates were so the stylist would dress her appropriately without giving it away. For one of the dates, she needed stretchy pants and they landed on a peach-colored pair. “It looked like nude leggings,” she said. “And it was just really embarrassing. [Viewers] just like ripped me a new one. I’m like, ‘I didn’t do it!’”

But, hey! We all make mistakes sometimes. Even stylists.

During her time on Bachelor, she wasn’t as fortunate to have a professional to help her get dressed. She was totally on her own. “I was super broke and I only could pack like a duffel bag of stuff, which was like my whole closet,” she explains. “I didn’t realize how many outfits you needed it.” Luckily, she ended up borrowing stuff from the other girls to make it work.

With that being said, Bachelor; alum Demi Burnett told Us on the podcast a couple weeks ago producers influence what constants wear. Sometimes, this results in two girls wearing the same dress!

“On my season, Heather [Martin] and this girl Laura, they had the same dress on,” she said. “The producers tell you which of the dresses they think you should wear. So they probably wanted to stir something up.”

This little mishap most recently happened on the premiere of Matt James’ season. Two women showed up to the rose ceremony in a red Revolve Nookie Viva 2Way Gown. However, no drama came out of the mix-up.

While Hartsock has most fond fashion memories of being on Bachelor and Bachelorette, Burnett struggled with her wardrobe.

“Oh, it was a nightmare for me,” she said. “Well, I was poor before, I didn’t have any money. So I spent my last paycheck and I just bought a bunch of dresses on sale at Dillard’s. That’s where I got all my rose ceremony dresses and cocktail dresses and swimsuits and stuff like that.”

LOL! Dakota Johnson said that her mom Melanie Griffith not only took her to get her belly button pierced, but she also took her to get her first tattoo.

On Wednesday, January 20, the 31-year-old actress stopped by The Late Late Show with James Corden, where she said her mom brought her to get her belly button pierced when she was 14-years-old.

“She also got her belly button pierced,” Johnson said with a laugh. “I don’t know why I’m telling you this!”

But that’s not all! The Fifty Shades of Grey star also revealed that Griffith brought her daughter to get her first tattoo. This was even after Johnson’s dad, Don Johnson, said he’d disown her if she got one.

“Now I didn’t know this, and I was surprised to find this out today, that you are a big fan of tattoos,” the late night host James Corden said. “I mean I don’t know why I’m surprised.”

“I don’t know why you’re surprised either,” Johnson responded.

He replied that he’s just never seen any of her ink before. “You just don’t strike me as a tattoo fiend,” he said.

Though she explained that she has 11-12 different designs, she said she wouldn’t classify that as “fiend” status.

“I think that’s fiend. I think you’re in the fiend zone,” Corden continued. “I think 11 is fiend. I think any more than eight is a fiend.”

But she didn’t agree. “Not in 2021,” she said. “Eleven is conservative.”

Though many of the designs she said she loves, she said there are some she regret because “they’re silly now.” This includes the first one she got with her mom, a saying on her arm that “actions not words” written in Latin. As it turns out, this is something her dad always used to say to her growing up. And since he hated the idea of her getting a tattoo so much, she decided to get one linked to him.

Meanwhile, Corden showed off the Chinese symbol on his ankle that means one of three things: tattoo, happy go lucky or crane. Unfortunately, he doesn’t really know which of these it is.

“I’m fine with happy go lucky, I’m pleased with tattoo, and if it means crane I’ll live with it,” the comedian said. “I don’t even really have to see it.”
