“Here comes the bride … so honored to get to marry two of my favorite people on earth,” Daly wrote via Instagram in July 2021, after marrying Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani in Oklahoma. “May God bless you guys in this new chapter of your lives. We love you!”

The Voice host gushed about playing such a vital part in the country crooner’s big day with the “Hollaback Girl” singer after working alongside both musicians on the NBC reality series for years.

“It was very, very special. It was incredible to be a part of such an important moment in their lives,” Daly said on Today, days after the pair said “I do” on Shelton’s ranch. “The ceremony was the perfect blend of country and glamour, of course, just like Blake and Gwen.”

The former VJ continued: “It was perfectly them. The whole weekend and the marriage itself. It was as elegant and refined and cool as Gwen is. It was as country and down home and fun as Blake is. They just work. They’re an unlikely pair. They’re like if you paired delicious fried chicken with champagne. They’re comfort food with class.”

When Hilary Duff married Matthew Koma in December 2019, she chose her Younger costar Molly Bernard to stand up and run the ceremony. The event was co-officiated by Koma’s longtime pal Chris Mintz-Plasse.

“WE BOOGIED,” Bernard wrote alongside photos from the special day, joking, “As most officiants do, I fell into a deep split at the feet of bride @hilaryduff.” She also shared images from the night, calling it, “perfect.”

Chris Harrison, for his part, has officiated multiple ceremonies for Bachelor Nation favorites. Harry Styles, on the other hand, took on the role for his manager Jeffrey Azoff in January 2021, causing a frenzy when he arrived with new love Olivia Wilde on his arm.

Jackson and April joined the ABC drama in 2009 when Seattle Grace Hospital merged with Mercy West. April was a Christian farm girl from the Midwest while Jackson was secretly the super-rich grandson of Harper Avery, whose foundation gave the most prestigious awards in medicine. Despite their opposite backgrounds, April and Jackson developed a great friendship.

The night before their boards exams season 8, April lost her virginity to Jackson, which gave their romance a bumpy start. The religious doctor had previously been saving herself for marriage.

After a pregnancy scare, the two broke up and started seeing other people. April even nearly married her paramedic boyfriend, Matthew (Justin Bruening), until Jackson stopped the wedding.

“I love you April. I always have. Even the things I don’t like, I love. I want you with me,” he said as April and Matthew were at the altar.

The two ran away from the wedding together and eloped that day. The spontaneous marriage seemed to turn sour when it becomes clear that Jackson is a dedicated atheist and April is still a devout Christian. April’s pregnancy brought them together, but the death of their son, Samuel, who only lived hours after his premature birth, tore them apart.

April took a job as a trauma surgeon in the army to cope with the loss, and when she returned, it was clear that their marriage was falling apart. They divorced, only to realize that April was pregnant. She gave birth to Harriet, and while their coparenting went well, they never reunited.

Once again, April got married on a whim, but this time it was to Matthew, the guy she left at the altar years earlier. She left the hospital to do nonprofit work with her new husband, which served as April’s big send-off as Drew was written out of Grey’s in 2018.

However, the Christian doctor came back for a short 2021 arc to help Jackson say goodbye to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Jackson realized that he wants to create real change in the healthcare system, making racial equity a priority, and that meant taking over his family’s foundation in Boston.

He went to April and asked her to move her family to Boston with him, and that was when April revealed that she didn’t have to run anything by Matthew because they split. She believed in Jackson’s vision for the Katherine Fox Foundation (f.k.a. the Harper Avery Foundation), and she agreed to move across the country with her ex-husband.

It sounds like Jackson and April’s Boston adventure could be a whole new Grey’s Anatomy spinoff, and Drew, 40, told reporters that she’s ready to sign on.

“Yes! I mean, you guys, how cool would that show be?” the April actress said in May 2021 following her return to the ABC series. “I gotta be honest. I’ve been on Twitter and Japril was, I think, trending worldwide all day. … How amazing and needed is a show about racial justice in the medical field and inequity and equality. How amazing would that be?”

A spinoff is not confirmed, so for now, Japril fans will have to settle for scrolling through the sweetest moments of Jackson and April’s story on Grey’s Anatomy:

Us Weekly broke the news in April 2018 that Bohemian Rhapsody stars, who portray former lovers turned best friends Freddie Mercury and Mary Austin in the Queen biopic, are dating. “They meet while filming Bohemian Rhapsody in London. He is so into her,” a source exclusively told Us at the time. “He goes and visits her in London all the time.”

Malek finally confirmed the duo’s romance in January 2019 at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, while accepting an award for Breakthrough Artist. “Thank you Lucy Boynton,” he said during his speech. “You have been my ally, my confidant, my love. Thank you so much.”

The Oscar nominee later gushed over the British actress while speaking exclusively to Us at the 2nd Annual Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society Award Ceremony just days later. “She’s extraordinary. She’s such a wildly talented human being and an inspiration,” he gushed at the time. “I have to say, that goes for the entire cast.”

The Mr. Robot star added: “It was so difficult and daunting portraying this character and I had their help every single moment of it and it has bonded us and galvanized us like no other. So, it’s truly a family. People throw that word out pretty casually, but in this case, it is.”

Meanwhile, Boynton raved about date nights with her beau during an interview with Us in February. “I wish I could always be wearing the dresses I do on the red carpet, I’m not gonna lie. I would go anywhere in one of those ballgowns,” she said of dressing up for nights out on the town with the Gilmore Girls alum. “I’ve always really admired [Rami’s] style. His stylist Clara Urbinati is one of my favorite people and has such great taste and is always very out there.”

It all started when Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar tied the knot in 1984 and started growing their family four years later. Since Josh’s 1988 birth, the couple have welcomed twins John-David and Jana, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, twins Jeremiah and Jedediah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johanna, Jennifer, Jordan-Grace, and Josie, in that order.

In February 2019, Josiah announced that he and his wife, Lauren Duggar (née Swanson), had suffered a tragic miscarriage eight months after their wedding ceremony.

“A couple months ago, we found out that we were expecting, but suddenly thereafter, we lost our baby,” the Georgia native said in a statement at the time.

Her husband added: “It was a really hard time for our family going through this right after we got married, and all the dreams of getting to see our little one and hold it in our hands dashed before our eyes.”

Jessa grieved the loss with an Instagram post later that month, revealing she and her sister-in-law had shared the same due date.

“Lauren, you’re such a positive, life-giving soul, even in walking through a great hardship and suffering so much loss,” the TLC personality wrote. “I don’t know how you can grieve through such a trial, and at the same time be so thoughtful to say, ‘Jess, if you ever feel too sick or tired and need some help, do not hesitate to text or call.’”

The A-listers — who share daughters Lincoln and Delta — got engaged in 2009 and tied the knot in 2013. They’ve been open with fans about their lighthearted, loving relationship and have spoken out about making their marriage work despite the challenges they may face.

Shepard made headlines in December 2018 after Julie Andrews’ granddaughter Kayti Edwards claimed that she had an affair with him in late 2009 while he was dating Bell. However, the Parenthood alum denied the rumors on Instagram shortly after.

The following year, the pair celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary in October 2019 and continued to show their strength as a couple.

“To get to wake up next to someone who has put hard work, respectful fights, patience, understanding and gratitude into your relationship is the definition of love,” the Good Place alum wrote via Instagram in honor of the marriage milestone. “I will never remember the date of our anniversary @daxshepard, and I know you won’t either. And that’s just one more thing I love about us.”

The duo faced another hardship 11 months later when Shepard revealed that he had relapsed after 16 years of being sober. The Bless This Mess actor shared in October 2020 that he had fallen off the wagon a month prior after taking pain killers following a motorcycle accident.

Despite the setback, the couple have remained committed to each other and Shepard’s sober journey.

“He was like, ‘I don’t want to risk this family, and I did, so let’s put new things in place to make sure it doesn’t happen again,’” the Frozen actress told Ellen DeGeneres at the time. “We’re going back to therapy. … And I will continue to stand by him because he’s very, very worth it.”

Just like us, celebrities have a movie they love to watch as the holidays approach. While some love Home Alone and Love Actually, others prefer the classics like A Christmas Story.

Jack Black, for example, revealed his go-to festive movie during an interview in 2019. “My favorite holiday film is, you know what, it’s got to be Elf, because once again [director] Jon Favreau … and Will Ferrell just knock it out of the park,” he told Variety at the time. The reporter then complimented his “humility” by not naming his own Christmas movie.

“Do I have a Christmas movie? Which one is mine?” he asked, before remembering. “Oh, The Holiday! Obviously, The Holiday. [Director] Nancy Meyers … genius!”

The 2006 romantic comedy also starred Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz and Jude Law and quickly became a fan favorite.

“The funny thing is that I did a lot of acting on my own, and just with Jude. Because we only had one scene with Jack and Kate. Our characters never crossed over. Basically, Kate and Jack did their movie; Jude and I did ours,” Diaz said of the experience in December 2020. “We only had the one scene at the end, where we all came together, and we shot that kind of at the beginning of the [shoot].”

She added, “Jude and I had a lot of fun shooting our bits. But I mean, there’s a lot of scenes where Amanda’s just kind of trudging along on her own. Trying to figure out her life. And I’m just acting with Nancy the whole time, which was a lot of fun.”

The Gossip Girl alum and the former O.C. star met in 2011 and started dating in 2013. Although they generally keep their romance under wraps, the pair have shared sweet sentiments about each other over the years.

The Kardashian-Jenner bunch are known for their lavish annual Christmas parties, but they can also put together a top-notch holiday card. The reality TV family have opted for more simple photos, like 2012’s all-white pic, to more intricate portraits, including their carnival-themed card in 2013.

For 2018’s edition, the famous siblings — with the exception of Kendall Jenner and Rob Kardashian — posed with their children for an adorable snapshot.

“Merry Christmas!! We all wish you love and harmony,” Khloé Kardashian wrote at the time. “So far this is by far my most favorite of any Christmas. I have all I could ever want. FAMILY.”

Jessica Alba and her husband, Cash Warren, go all-out for their family’s annual holiday card as well, as they have posed with their children Honor, Haven and Hayes in matching onesies. When reflecting on 2017’s edition, the film producer noted that this would be the last holiday card he’d be the only guy in the photo since the Honest Beauty founder was expecting their son Hayes.

“I’m having a moment,” he wrote via Instagram. “Merry Christmas Eve!! Tried to convince Haven that today was Christmas and Santa forgot about her but she saw right through it. Smart kid.”

The British royal family are also no stranger to joining forces for an annual Christmas card. In December 2018, Kensington Palace unveiled a sweet photo of Duchess Kate and Prince William posing with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The photo showed the family of five smiling at Anmer Hall while surrounded by nature.

Holiday cards have proven to be a tradition in the royal family, as they send roughly 750 cards each year. However, the beloved Brits participate in many more customs around the holidays, including attending church on Christmas morning. “The queen regards the festive season as a deeply religious occasion,” a source told Us Weekly exclusively in December 2018.
